Research On Improvement Of Internal Audit Of Quality Management System Based On Process Approach Of TF Company

In a buyer’s market-dominated environment,customers present an increasingly strict demand for products and services,so that the importance of product quality becomes more and more prominent.The control over quality is reflected in the measures and methods adopted by enterprises to manage quality.As such,establishing a comprehensive quality management system and implementing it constantly and effectively contribute to keeping enterprises’ quality management in a healthy state.The internal audit of a quality management system is a tool for system improvement and it is expected to identify and address quality problems in enterprises in a timely manner and promote the healthy and continuous running of the quality management system.Existing data reveals that many enterprises have problems in their quality management system,exemplified by the failure of internal audit.Comparatively,TF Company is confronted with similar problems,so this study takes internal audit improvement as the research topic.With the process approach as the research principle,this study focuses on TF Company’s internal audit of the quality management system.First of all,the concepts such as internal audit and process approach are briefly described and various factors involved in internal audit are analyzed based on the actual situation of the company.The methods like interviews and questionnaires are used to find out the possible factors,determine the influencing factors,and confirm the main factors.Through causal factor analysis,four basic causes that lead to failure of internal audit are identified,including auditor training failing to meet the needs,audit procedures failing to guide concrete practice,insufficient inculcation in employees with quality awareness,and the audit performance assessment system not conforming to the actual situation.Ultimately,four improvement measures are proposed from the perspective of training and system and their effectiveness is verified by the actual implementation.According to the audit results and index calculations before and after the improvement,TF Company’s internal audit was found to have uplifted effectiveness and well forewarn the occurrence of certain quality problems.Therefore,this study provides experience for the overall improvement of the company’s quality management system and offers a reference example of internal audit improvement for other enterprises of the same type.
