In the context of the ever-increasing energy problems and the rapid development of the knowledge economy,the new energy automobile industry,as a typical representative of the transformation and upgrading of my country’s traditional manufacturing industry,has been strongly supported by national policies and governments at all levels,and has established certain first-mover advantages and scale advantages.However,in recent years,trade frictions,the new crown pneumonia epidemic,anti-globalization and other factors have superimposed the impact of the new energy vehicle market.The uncertainty of the new energy vehicle market has further intensified.New energy vehicle companies urgently need to make breakthroughs in key areas through technological innovation to form sustainability.Sexual competitive advantage.The innovation efficiency of new energy automobile companies is the key to measuring their innovation and development results.Therefore,it is necessary to comprehensively and systematically measure the innovation efficiency of my country’s new energy automobile companies and further explore effective strategies for improving their innovation efficiency.In view of this,based on the theory of innovation and efficiency,this article combines the three-stage DEA model and the Malmquist index method,using panel data from China’s22 new energy automobile companies from 2010 to 2019,and first selects and screens innovation input and output indicators,and Select regional economic level,government subsidies,industrial policy support,and regional competition as environmental variables to construct a new energy vehicle enterprise innovation efficiency measurement index system;secondly,through the establishment of a three-stage DEA model,the traditional one-stage DEA model and similar SFA models Combining this,we will further strip away the impact of environmental factors on the innovation efficiency of new energy automobile companies,and measure the overall innovation efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of China’s new energy automobile companies from a static perspective;again,use the Malmquist index method to analyze the innovation efficiency from a dynamic perspective.The total factor productivity,technical efficiency and technological progress of new energy automobile companies are measured;finally,with the help of the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method(fs QCA),from the perspective of dual innovation,it explores the combination of conditions that drive multi-factor interaction and drive the improvement of enterprise innovation efficiency.New energy automobile companies optimize the allocation of innovative resources and improve innovation efficiency to provide a theoretical basis for decision-making.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The innovation efficiency of new energy automobile companies before and after the adjustment of the similar SFA model is quite different,indicating that the efficiency measurement results are affected by environmental factors.Among them,the regional economic level and the degree of industry competition have a significant negative impact on the redundancy of innovation input;government subsidies Strength and industrial policy support will lead to an increase in enterprise R&D personnel investment redundancy,and government subsidies have a positive impact on fixed asset investment redundancy,and industrial policy support will lead to a reduction in fixed asset investment redundancy.(2)The overall innovation efficiency of my country’s new energy automobile companies is at a relatively low level,especially since 2015,the innovation efficiency value has declined significantly,mainly due to the low level of pure technical efficiency;although the scale efficiency value has shown a relatively obvious fluctuating state,But basically maintained at a high level,becoming the main factor driving the innovation efficiency of new energy automobile companies;most new energy automobile companies are still in a state of constant return to scale or diminishing returns to scale,and the scale of innovation and development still has a large room for growth;New energy passenger vehicle companies outperform new energy commercial vehicle companies in terms of scale efficiency,but they perform poorly in terms of comprehensive innovation efficiency,pure technical efficiency,and return to scale.(3)From 2010 to 2019,the total factor productivity of my country’s new energy automobile companies basically showed a growth trend,which was greatly affected by pure technical efficiency;the total factor productivity and its decomposition index value fluctuated little in the early stage,and the fluctuation range increased after 2016.The increase in progress is greater than the increase in technical efficiency;the average technical progress index of new energy passenger vehicle companies and new energy commercial vehicle companies has shown an increasing trend,with an increase of 14% and 12% respectively;technical efficiency is affected by scale efficiency,and both show a downward trend.(4)The intensity of innovation investment of new energy automobile enterprises and the characteristics of the main body of the enterprise have an important impact on their innovation efficiency.From the perspective of dual innovation,the investment of enterprise innovation funds is divided into exploratory innovation investment and development innovation investment,and combined with internal enterprise Other factors,through the combination of different elements,form four strategies to drive the innovation efficiency of new energy automobile companies,namely "progressive innovation-led","pioneering innovation-led","dual innovation-driven" and "external force support" type.This paper focuses on the micro-enterprise body,takes new energy automobile companies as the research object,enriches the existing industry-level research,and combines the similar SFA model with the traditional DEA model in the calculation method,eliminating environmental factors and random errors.The impact of new energy vehicle companies’ innovation efficiency,and innovatively incorporate dual innovation perspectives when discussing innovation efficiency improvement strategies.This research is expected to provide a rational decision-making basis for improving the innovation capabilities of new energy automobile companies and promoting the stable and sustainable development of the new energy automobile industry.
