In recent years,the continuous improvement of the urbanization process has promoted the rapid development of China’s economy,and the gradual expansion of the infrastructure engineering industry has promoted the continuous development and growth of the muck truck market.Continuous research and development of muck truck products that meet market needs is one of the important means for related companies to maintain and enhance their market competitiveness.Finding an appropriate entry point for product design,and then gradually extending it to a specific design concept is the focus of the early stage of product development,and it will also have an important impact on product research and development.INPD(Integrated New Product Development)theory can effectively help designers to quickly and accurately find product opportunities that meet the trend in the early stage of product development.Based on the INPD method,this paper takes the urban dump truck as the research object,and proposes a model design scheme that is suitable for improving the market competitiveness of the dump truck.The main work and results of this paper are as follows:(1)The process of the INPD method has been optimized and improved.The INPD method process covers four stages: identifying opportunities,understanding opportunities,conceptualizing opportunities,and implementing opportunities.This article first enriches the INPD method process,and adds the current product status part on the basis of the SET(Socicty,Economy,Technology)trend analysis method research in order to more comprehensively discover trend characteristics and identify opportunities.Second,this article combines conceptualization opportunities and implementation opportunities into one,simplifying them into three stages: product opportunity identification,understanding opportunities,and concept implementation.(2)This paper sorts out the theoretical research and design status of the muck truck,and obtains multiple muck truck product trends together with the SET trend analysis method,and selects the only product opportunity with the help of a trade-off matrix,that is,"Explore an intelligent electric muck truck with a sense of security." Finally,verify its rationality through relevant data,and use it as an entry point for design practice.(3)A comprehensive and in-depth study was conducted on the users of the muck truck.This article uses user interviews and field observations to understand user habits and workflows.And found from it what functions and shapes the muck truck should have,which will make the user feel safe physically and psychologically.In turn,it summarizes many users,constructs target user portraits and user journey maps,which is helpful for the implementation of the design concept.(4)The exterior modeling of the muck truck has been studied systematically.Through the extraction of the constituent elements of the muck truck,the latest electric truck styling trends and the safety-sense styling elements,the discussion of the muck truck styling is carried out.First,divide and compare the basic external components of the existing electric muck trucks.Secondly,the latest heavy-duty electric truck styling trends are analyzed,and the styling features that electric muck trucks should have are summarized.Finally,select industrial products with a sense of security as samples,and extract the modeling features that products with a sense of security should have.Develop the design from the above three aspects as the styling factors considered for the exterior styling of this electric muck truck.(5)The exterior shape and detail design of the intelligent electric muck truck with a sense of security.Use the camera to replace the traditional rearview mirror,expand the visualization range of the rearview mirror,and filter the image so that it is projected on the front windshield to help the driver understand the surrounding environment in time.At the same time,the vehicle information status and driving image are displayed to other vehicles and pedestrians through the outer screen of the car to improve the driving safety of urban muck vehicles.Through the application of the improved INPD method process,this paper conducts a comprehensive and systematic objective analysis of the early design stage,and successfully constructs the early stage of product development,providing method references for other product development to seek product opportunities.The successful construction of an intelligent electric muck truck with a sense of safety provides a certain reference value for the design of the muck truck and a new idea for improving the competitiveness of the muck truck industry. |
