The ancient Mongolian grasslands have nurtured the spiritual and material culture of the Mongolians from generation to generation,demonstrating the enduring vitality and creativity of the Mongolian nation.The yurt is the crystallization and living fossil of Mongolian national cultural wisdom.In the course of history,the various functional attributes of the yurt highlight different spatial cultures,forming a unique ethnic art symbol,which stands in the big family of world culture and continues to nowadays.The Mongolian traditional decoration adds endless artistic charm and strong regional characteristics to the yurt dining space,which has important research significance.The thesis,taking the semiotic theory as the breakthrough point,takes the form and detailed decoration of the yurt dining space creation as the main body of research,and combs and extracts typical and inheritable Meaningful Mongolian traditional decorative symbols through literature research,field investigation,case analysis,summary and other research methods.The thesis is trying to extract traditional Mongolian decorative symbols through semiotic theory methods,and building a corresponding symbol library,and then applying the extracted symbol organization to the creation of traditional yurt dining spaces by language construction methods,which will strengthen the regional and national characteristics of the yurt dining space and echoes the national cultural characteristics in the architectural space.Mongolian traditional decorative symbols are used in the yurt dining space,which is of great significance to the inheritance of national culture and can reflect the unique nationality and regional characteristics of the Mongolian dining space to the greatest extent.Through investigation of the Mongolian dining space in Inner Mongolia area,the thesis found that its spatial form and decoration tend to be single in form and mixed in design concepts.In 2019,President Xi guides the theme education of “Don’t forget the original heart and remember the mission” in the Inner Mongolia.He pointed out: “Chinese civilization is rooted in the fertile soil of multi-ethnic culture that is harmonious but different,and attention must be paid to the protection and inheritance of ethnic minority culture."The status is important".It is necessary for us to carry out practical research on the application of decorative symbols in Mongolian dining spaces,especially yurt dining spaces.The thesis will give sexual advice,which can help to develop the economy of the autonomous region,create a beautiful landscape of the northern border,and promote the social value of traditional culture in ethnic minorities.
