The Application Of Confucian Culture Symbol In The Dining Room

With the constant development of society and the improvement of the average income, people’s diet not only stays on food and clothing problem, but also transfers into feeling its unique cultural connotation from the diet. The theme restaurant taking cultural features as the theme, dining space as the carrier, the experience as the nature was born. Since the reform and opening up, China has strengthened the economic and cultural exchanges with the countries all over the world, both of which complement with each other. They have transformed from blindly copying and imitating culture to constantly explore the cultural connotation and they also show people many excellent design works assuming the high-tech and a variety of new design tactics. Combining the Confucian Culture with the times should conform to the union of its tradition and times, and the combination of the practicability and aesthetics. The main objective of this subject is to inherit and carry forward Chinese Confucian Culture and present people the dining room, which can reflect the integration of the Confucian Culture and the times.By expounding the origin and the current development situation of the catering culture and the dining space, the design ideas, application and inheritance of the Confucian Culture in modern architecture and analyzing the current situation of the Confucian Culture symbols’application in the dining space designing, this paper concludes some important design factors like the application principles, manifestation forms and the design techniques of the Confucian Culture symbols in the dining space. Besides, this paper further indicates the Confucian Culture symbols’ application methods and notes in the dining space via the example of the dining space of the Confucian Culture symbols, and expounds that when using the Confucian Culture symbols to design the dining space, the designers should focus on digging up and refining the connotation of traditional Confucian Culture to manifest the Confucian Culture’s deep meaning and reach the optimal effects of the combination of inheritance and innovation utilizing the modern design ideas and tactics.
