Designing In Edible Landscape Of Residential District Based On Public Acceptance

At present,our society at a time of rapid economic development,urbanization is accelerating,many rural populations into cities,food security and frequent accidents.Under this background,some people with agricultural feelings gradually form bottom-up spontaneous planting in urban communities,and the contradictions between growers and other residents and managers are becoming increasingly acute.On the one hand,Spontaneous planting destroys the original community green space;What is more,messy planting lacks ornamental value.Therefore,there is a critical problem that community landscape integrates effectively with the agriculture feelings,food production and residents living,including what is the popular landscapes preference in ornamental or edible? How to design the edible landscape planting model with high ornamental value on an annual? These problems have not been resolved yet.This study selected 6 communities via the urban residential areas in Xuzhou City,what is more,introduced and sorted out the sample plots primary conditions in the 6residential areas;furthermore,combined the on-site visits with online methods to send out,investigate and collect the questionnaires;besides,constructed the 28 pictures to reflect the research objectives’ characteristics via the scenario simulation,and surveyed the public preference ranking for these pictures and investigated that impact on the resident’s health.The main conclusions were obtained via this study include: 1.The public has the high-degree acceptance on planting edible landscapes in residential green spaces and the degree was irrelevant with the residential areas types.2.There are significant variation degree between the environmental ornamental and the relaxation in different seasons,that was the positive correlation.3.There are the significant negative correlation between the average value and the standard deviation for beautiful scenery,and the average degree of relaxation with its standard deviation also show the significant negative relationship in the whole year.4.It is most popular planting combination mode in the single food crop and the green plants adding multiple regular food crops,however the least popular mode is the multiple food crops irregular planting.These all provide the designing references in edible landscape for community.The research conclusions provided a theoretical basis for the edible landscapes designing in the residential areas for respond to the seasonal changeing,and provided the design methods to improve the annual aesthetics of edible landscape planting and resident health effects.Moreover,integrating the edible landscape into the community green space as a key element via the multidisciplinary collaboration,the scenario simulation and Scientific analysis.Besides,combining the original community elements to make changes in space,structure,and species,that provides a design method about the building feasibility for the "edible landscape community".At the same time,it clarified the relationship between edible planting patterns with seasonal fluctuations and edible landscape characteristics,to provide decision-making and reference for the construction of ecological residential areas.The paper has 42 figures,25 tables and 127 references.
