Appropriate Technology With 3D-Printing And On Site Assemble For Low-Costing Housing In Poor Urban Settlement In Cambodia

Cambodian people consider a good low-income home as one of the basic requirements in the region.But,more than 1/4 of the Cambodian population are under harsh living conditions due to poverty.The Cambodia city has about 250 slums where people indulge in criminal activities such as drug abuse and theft.To provide an affordable housing for the poor people in who is living in poor urban settlement in Cambodia is very essential to solve these issues.However,traditional method of construction couldn’t solve the issue affecting people living in Cambodia city due to 1]rapidly population in the city and 2] climate change.Moreover,the traditional construction strategy had disadvantages such as hazardous,unfairness,slow and expensive.This research is specifically grounded on studying a particular one of the poorest urban settlement in Cambodia “Prek Takong Village” where are dealing with housing shortage.The research methodology of this study is basically divided into 3parts 1] Studies on literatures and case studies based on how to use 3D-printing effectively to deal with urban housing shortage in Cambodia.2] Statistical analysis,based data collection using SPSS as a support tool in order to prove statistical information on the factors affecting housing as well as the preferred house size and price in the region.3] Provide the strategies and propose a design prototype,using G-code software and 3D printing machine as a support tools.This study help solves the issue of informal housing of individuals in Cambodia.During the research,3D printing technology is required to come up with a model of affordable housing for the less privileged community.The technique entails the building of modules,components,tools,and connectors.The study assists in getting rid of factors causing poor housing conditions within Cambodia.
