The demand for housing in Guyana is a crisis that continues to grow each year,as the provision for such housing is not yet met and at the same time for most,it is not affordable. The purpose of this research is to build components that can be constructed using 3D concrete printing technology and to determine a suitable structure that can be used for the 3D printing of concrete material to aid in the development of low-cost housing units for Guyana.By using a prototype 3D cad designed model, then 3D printing it on a small scale, observations were made on how the printing of building components can be achieved.Based on case studies of 3D concrete printing, the researcher was able to design a suitable 3D printer that can be used to aid in the provision of low-cost housing units for Guyana. The research answers the questions of how it is possible to print the building components using3 D concrete printing and also answers what is a suitable structure for 3D concrete printers that can be used to aid in the provision of low-cost housing in Guyana to help keep up with the rising demands for housing.
