A Preliminary Study And Practice On The Landscape Spatial Relationship Between The Linpan And The Typical Xishu Garden

Under the same natural environment and historical cultural background,the Linpan in Chengdu plain and the Xishu garden have certain relevancies in both time and space.This paper,after reviewing the literatures and consulting the experts,obtains the indicators of the correlation between the Linpan in Chengdu plain and the Xishu garden fromtwo aspects: the space type and the spatial layout of the garden.Based on those two aspects,the selected research targets have been studied and surveyed thoroughly to obtain the spatial layout characteristics of those two studied garden type: the architectural space,the mountain and stone water space,the plant space and many other spatial layout.Based on the comparison study between those two garden types,the Linpan in Chengdu plain is the natural prototype of the Xishu garden,that is,the Xishu garden,from germination to formation,is developed under the natural breeding ofthe Linpan in Chengdu plain.Some of the landscape creations in the Xishu garden are inspired from the daily life,the field and the creator’s leisurely yearning for the field life.the Linpan in Chengdu plain and the Xishu garden live together.During the long course of the development period,the Xishu garden absorbs the natural and simple style of the forest,sublimates the humanities and improves the sentiment.The Xishu garden is more reasonable and elegant in spatial layout,and is a typical representative of the classical garden.As the combination ofthe Linpan in Chengdu plain and Xishu garden,rural garden absorbs the traditional ecological wisdom of the Linpan in Chengdu plain and the cultural art of Xishu garden,showing the landscape mood of Western Sichuan.In the existing rural environment,the rural garden has effectively integrated its natural and human resources.It has also combined the reasonable garden layout of the main buildings,such as the halls,the units and the auxiliaries.Compared with the general rural landscape,the rural garden is more refined due to its richer artistic and cultural atmosphere,which emphasize on the creation of the connotation and artistic concepts.In the context of rural revitalization,the development of rural gardens can effectively protect the existing forest resources,inherit the rural customs and the culture of Western Sichuan,develop the tourism industry,promote the development of local tourism,provide jobs,and help the revitalization of rural areas of Western Sichuan.
