The Research Of Xishu Garden Under The Influence Of The Xishu Officials From The Sui Dynasty To The Song Dynasty

Chinese classical gardens have a long history and outstanding achievements in garden art.As an indispensable supporting regional garden in the Chinese classical garden system,Xishu Garden has its own garden development track and garden cultural characteristics.Under the current macro-environmental background of encouraging cultural self-confidence and inheriting local culture,and faced with the need for in-depth study of Xishu Garden,it is very necessary and urgent to further study the traditional garden culture and wisdom of Xishu Garden.As the typical representative of China’s Official Garden,Xishu Garden must be influenced by the Xishu ancient officials in an all-round and profound manner,especially from the Sui Dynasty to the Song Dynasty,where the development of gardens in Xishu was most prosperous.During this period,Xishu garden show strong practical activities,mature landscape arts,and stable garden styles,which is directly related to the motives of the artificial gardens,gardening restrictions,gardening ideas and garden aesthetics.This article aims to explore the connection and content of the two during this period,and draws the following research results:1.In the second chapter of this thesis,I analyzed the environmental characteristics during the Sui Dynasty to the Song Dynasty and the characteristics of the Xishu officials,and summarized their features including identity,habits,preferences,personality and spiritual pursuits from their three identities of officials,literary mentors and teachers.It is the premise of the following analysis of the influence of the Xishu officials on the Xishu Garden.2.According to historical documents,I combed out more than 180 gardens in Xishu area in the Sui Dynasty to the Song Dynasty in the third chapter of this thesis,and elaborated on the existence and development of government department garden,public garden,memorial temple garden,temple and taoist temple garden,private garden,and summarized the garden practice of the Xishu officials.3.In the fourth and fifth chapters of this thesis,from the perspective of construction,I summed up four gardening motivation of the Xishu officials and the resulting five main types of gardens,and then discussed the objective constraints of gardening.From the perspective of garden art,I summarized the characteristics of the landscape in the five aspects of garden water management,construction management,plant configuration,stack of rockery and stocking birds.4.In the sixth and seventh chapters of this thesis,I systematically summarized the thoughts of gardening,the garden aesthetic style and artistic conception of Xishu garden,and explored the value and implications of the in-depth study of gardens from the Sui Dynasty to the Song Dynasty in the inheritance of Xishu garden culture,the construction of urban public space and collective memory,and the integration of urban humanistic and ecological values.
