A Preliminary Study On Transformation Design Methods From Industrial Building To Contemporary Youth Apartment

With the development of the times and the acceleration of urbanization in China,more and more younger peoples begin to rush into the city to seek their opportunities.Because most of them can not afford the high prices of house in cities,the market of youth rental housing is booming and the youth apartments as a residential mode emerge at the right moment.Simultaneously,as the development of the times produced the transformation of social and economic structure,old industrial buildings can not adapt to the development of the times and causes a large number of industrial buildings in the city abandoned and needed to be restructured.So that,the former results in the demand and construction of youth apartments,and the latter leads to the demolition of abandoned industrial buildings.Both of them consume a over larger number of social resources in the one hand of demolition and the other hand construction.Whether it is possible to transform industrial building into youth apartment for adaptive reuse,it may produce the logic of social resources optimized utilization.From this point of view,it can be seen that the situation of industrial buildings transformed into youth apartments is still seriously limited in China;but it has quite experienced and diverse types at some advanced countries abroad.So this thesis attempts to focus on the limited factors of the transformation of industrial buildings into youth apartments in China,and analyzes design methods which is suitable in China on scale conversion issues as an entry point for the transformation of industrial buildings into youth apartments according to the foreign renovation cases.The text consists of five chapters.Chapter Ⅰ is the introduction,which clarifies the research object and purpose,and explains the origin and problems of the transformation of industrial building into youth apartment.Chapter Ⅱ is the basic research part of this essay,describes the development and transformation history of industrial buildings and youth apartments at home and abroad,and also analyzes the value and feasibility of transforming industrial building into youth apartment.Chapter Ⅲ is the analysis of the restrictive factors of the transformation of industrial building into youth apartment in China.The author starts mining the social problems behind from the the lack of practical experience,and put forward the possibility of breaking through the restriction.Chapter Ⅳ summarizes the types of industrial building according to the structural organization,and analyzes the domestic and foreign renovation cases according to the different types.Chapter Ⅴ establishes scale patterns of industrial building based on the types of industrial building summarized above,and explores the scale conversion patterns of industrial building into youth apartment combined with the scale of youth apartment.The last part is the conclusion,which reflects,summarizes and prospects above analysis.This thesis contains about 49520 words,108 pictures and charts.
