In the context of the normalization of the epidemic,as the aging phenomenon in China’s society intensifies,the demand for home fitness products for the elderly is increasing.The elderly commonly suffer from shoulder joint pain and upper limb muscle tissue atrophy,while the healthy elderly will improve upper limb function through active fitness.However,in the existing home fitness products market,there is a lack of products for upper limb training for the elderly,and the adaptability of fitness equipment to the home environment is not high,and there is a gap in the market for upper limb to rear side movement training products.This study takes this opportunity to address the problem of weakness of upper limb exercise for the elderly,and conducts research on the design of upper limb trainers for healthy elderly at home to meet the needs of the elderly for upper limb training in the home environment,and to solve the problem of poor compatibility of home fitness products with residential space.To address the problem of inadequate training methods of existing upper limb fitness products,this study used interview method,hierarchical analysis method and experimental analysis method to judge the subjective difficulty of upper limb joint mobility of the elderly and compare the difference with the standard value,and found that the upper limb shoulder joint horizontal extension and shoulder joint extension mobility of the elderly were poor,and the training form of upper limb trainer was clarified.Then,to address the problem of poor adaptability of fitness products and home environment,this study used questionnaires and behavioral analysis to study the daily home behaviors and one-day activity routes of the elderly,and found the possibility of combining products with furniture and chairs.From the psychological,physiological,behavioral characteristics and environmental characteristics of the elderly,combined with the summary of the problem points of the existing upper limb trainer products,the total user needs were obtained.To address the problem that it is difficult to objectively translate the user requirements into product design solutions,this study uses the QFD-AD integrated model theory to translate the collected user requirements of the elderly into the functional requirements and then into the design parameters of the product through the "Z" mapping,and finally obtains five structural design solutions,and then uses the minimum information axiom is used to solve the solution with the least amount of information,which is the optimal product solution.The final product was analyzed in terms of human-machine dimensions using the elderly body data,and finally the usability of the product was evaluated objectively using the JACK human-machine virtual simulation software,and the evaluation results were good and satisfied the needs of the elderly user group.This study innovatively applies the QFD-AD integrated model theory to the field of geriatric fitness equipment and verifies the feasibility of the theoretical model.At the same time,this study analyzes the upper limb joint mobility of the elderly from both subjective and objective aspects,so as to obtain the most necessary training methods for the elderly upper limbs,which provides new research ideas for product design.
