At present,China has entered a period of rapid development,with therapid growth of traffic demand,the slow traffic system is seriously squeezed by the motor vehicle traffic space,and is in a weak position in the whole traffic system.With the rapid development of economy in Hohhot in recent years,traffic congestion is becoming more and more serious.In order to relieve the pressure of urban traffic,Hushi constantly strengthened road construction,widen the roadway,open up the expressway,so that the urban road has been improved.However,the sidewalks for pedestrians are getting narrower and narrower,with some sections without sidewalks or blocked by parking lots.Pedestrian crowding motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle phenomenon is very serious,resulting in pedestrian traffic is not smooth,poor convenience,low safety.Therefore,it is very necessary to conduct reasonable investigation,analysis and research on the pavements in Hucheng.This paper takes the pedestrian road network of Hohhot as the research object,and the research scope is within the scope of the second ring road in the central urban area.The open Google remote sensing image is used to obtain the pedestrian road data,and the field measurement data and the road data in Hohhot City Master Planning(2011-2020)are used as the verification,and the sidewalk road network database is established in the Arc GIS system.Through the analysis of the characteristics of the pedestrian road,the density of the pedestrian road network,the perfection of the pedestrian road network and the compliance rate of the pedestrian road width are calculated and calculated,and compared with the relevant technical standards of the country and the related technical regulations of pedestrian traffic.At the same time,GIS spatial analysis method and quantitative statistical method are used to evaluate the current situation of the sidewalk in Hucity,and analyze the systematicness,standardization,safety and comfort of the pedestrian traffic.In view of the specific existing problems and deficiencies,this paper puts forward planning countermeasures from three levels of planning,design and management.That is to strengthen the systematic construction of urban pedestrian traffic,ensure the standardization of pedestrian road construction,improve pedestrian traffic safety guarantee measures,improve the comfort of pedestrian traffic system.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)Continuity of pedestrian traffic in downtown Hohhot:According to the statistics of pedestrian road data,the total lengths of sections with sidewalks on urban main and secondary trunk roads and branch roads are up to 12,2506m,84551m and 126260m respectively,accounting for 95%,72%and 78%of the total lengths of main and secondary trunk roads and branch roads respectively.The total length of the road section with sidewalks accounts for 82%of the total mileage of the road network.(2)According to the statistics of pedestrian road data,the pedestrian density of main road is 1.12km/km~2,that of secondary road is 0.77km/km~2,and that of branch road is 1.16km/km~2.According to the national road-related technical standards,The reasonable range of pavement network density for urban trunk roads with a population of more than 2 million is 1.0-1.2km/km~2,the reasonable range of pavement network density for secondary trunk roads is 1.2-1.4km/km~2,and the reasonable range of pavement network density for branch roads is 3-4 km/km~2.The pavement density of secondary trunk road and branch road is lower than the minimum standard recommended by the code.Among them,the pavement network density of branch roads is seriously insufficient,which is lower than the minimum recommended standard value of 1.84km/km~2,and the pavement network density of main roads just reaches the recommended standard.(3)Normalization of pedestrian traffic in the downtown area of Hohhot:In accordance with the relevant national technical specifications and standards for road construction,the width of the sidewalk should not be less than 1.5m in order to ensure the traffic capacity of the sidewalk.The total length of the pavement section accounted for 65%of the total length of the pavement section,and the overall compliance rate was significantly different from the standard standard.Pedestrian road barrier-free facilities are not set up standard compared with the relevant national technical standards.(4)Safety of pedestrian traffic in downtown area of Hohhot:There are certain safety risks in the"person-vehicle"isolation facilities and the crossing facilities;The effective width of pavement for pedestrians is insufficient,and the total length of non-pavement sections and substandard sections accounts for as much as 47%of the total length of pavement network.(5)The comfort of walking traffic in the downtown area of Hohhot:The total length of the 5 main and secondary trunk roads and branch roads with pavements and more than 4m in width,which are comfortable,only accounts for 17%of the total length of the standard pavement network;Pedestrian environment green setting is relatively simple,there is no more comfortable for pedestrians to travel avenue;The pavement design of pedestrian road lacks the characteristics of Hohhot itself.
