As an ideographic interface,an environmental functional carrier and a building entity,the skin of the building is an integrated system with multi-dimensional functions.In recent years,with the development of skin,plane and patterning as one of the building skin design trends,the original industrial material perforated metal plate has been widely used in building skin design due to its special material advantages.Among them,it reflects the call for many demands of today’s architectural creation: diversified connotation and creative expression needs,multi-oriented ecological environment performance integration needs,and...It is urgent for architects to develop creative thinking,improve technical means,comprehensively grasp and systematically sort out regional cultural expression methods and environmental performance response measures,so as to respond to demands.Due to the excellent performance of perforated metal plate in creative expression and environmental performance,it is favored by cultural architecture projects.Based on this,this paper analyzes the applicability and limitations of perforated metal plate as the interface of cultural architecture,and points out the contradiction between daylighting,vision and patterning.Then,the visual perception theory and its theories related to the application of architecture are summarized,and the research path of perforated metal plate as an architectural interface is concluded,including "light","visibility" and "aesthetic perception".Based on a large number of examples,software simulation analysis and its own practice,the applicability of perforated metal plate skin was studied.The final purpose of this paper is to provide a new design vision for this kind of material as an architectural interface.The paper is divided into three parts:The first part is the definition of the research topic and the establishment of the research framework.The first chapter starts from the development of visual culture and the extensive use of metal materials in the building skin,and leads to the research topic of perforated metal plate.It also sorts out the domestic and foreign related research literature,defines the research scope,expounds the significance of the topic selection and the research methods.The second part is the combing and analysis of the research object and related theories.The second chapter clarifies the development context of perforated metal plate,analyzes its applicability as the skin of cultural architecture from the perspectives of appearance expression and physical environment,and summarizes its limitations as the skin of cultural architecture on this basis.The third chapter introduces the basic theory of visual perception,and summarizes the related applications of visual perception in the design of architectural interface,laying a theoretical foundation for the core discussion of the third part.The third part is the core topic of research and method of model and its validation: the fourth chapter is the core in full,on the basis of the theory of visual perception,to pervious to light,visibility,aesthetic perception as the research path,and combined with related cases and the analysis of software simulation technology,the perforated metal plate building interface on the serviceability of the further research.The fifth chapter studies the compound plate from the perspective of its own practice,forming the effective cognition of "light","visibility" and "aesthetic perception" on the physical level of perforated metal plate interface.Finally,it summarizes the whole paper,sorts out the conclusions formed by the whole paper,and anticipates the future research.
