In the study of the overall protection of architectural heritage, the spatial perception features are the comprehensive identity of architectural space formed by human experience. And this is also the main reason why the space information conveyed by architectural heritage is precious that is because "body perception experiences in space" can produce unique aesthetic experience and emotional cognition, which has become a researching key point of heritage protection for a long time. That the concept of human visual perception of architectural space is based on the influence of urban building forms and spatial organization has been the common idea of researchers in the field of urban space for decades. From Vitruvian's "On Architecture" to "Building modularized system " in the "Material Parting System",the quantitative relationship of architecture has always been the invisible law in the construction of architecture and space.Due to the nature and complexity of the heritage space,it lacks typical scales in visual features and is difficult to measure. It is difficult to use objective measures such as length, width and area to describe objectively, resulting in quantification of complex settlement space. The method is not enough to highlight. In the aspect of researching methods of architectural space, the qualitative research methods of architectural space forms and related contents have been very rich for a long time, but the quantitative method is not prominent enough, which shows the researching methods relatively simple and this also restricts the further development of this research. The study of space should not only carry out spatial reasoning from the individual perspective(the researcher or the investigation based on the individual experiencers),this kind of viewing with a strong "third-person" perspective is easy to overlook the physical and comprehensive recognition in the process of spatial viewing. The study of architectural heritage space is a reverse-solving project, the comprehensive perception measurement of the research process from person to object should be strengthened, base on the new scientific and technological conditions,Focusing on the issues such as the physicality, the complexity of the dimensional relationship, the difficulty of the quantitative relationship and the dynamic nature of the perceptive relationship, this paper explores the establishment of a comprehensive quantitative research method of the spatial visual perception of architectural heritage with the characteristics of the total centrality, the total dimension and the space-time relationship. Then,it extracts the essential, common and different visual elements of specific types of space elements, and explores a more comprehensive and protective reconstruction of their construction concept and cultural value. The emergence of new technologies and data environments enables us to measure space more objectively and quantitatively, which greatly promotes the development of space-related scientific research. After more than 20 years development of GIS technology, the spatial quantitative analysis of macroscopic and microgranularity has gradually matured, and its application in urban design planning, archaeology, geography and other aspects have been achieved a lot.But for the micro-granularity level, there is little researching progress on pedestrian visual perception and experience in micro-space related researches. This paper focuses on the embodiment of spatial visual relations, the complexity of dimensional relations, the difficulty of quantitative relations and the integrity problem of perceptual relations, using the quantitative method of visual perception of architectural heritage space as the research object, bringing in the theory of urban image and apace visibility, making a association of 3D GIS platform technology features and spatial researching theory. And this paper also constructs the corresponding relationship between spatial relations and quantitative analysis, and summarizes its practical process, meanwhile the quantitative method considering human spatial visual perception is proposed. This paper condenses the main technical features of 3D GIS platform, such as full-center,vertical view,high-density grid points and spatialtemporal relations analysis,to create seven sub analysis methods. With this method,we can quantify the visual perception characteristics of buildings and streets, and then analyze the construction culture of regional characteristics with quantified data, and extract the spatial perception "meta-type" of specific buildings. This paper also build 3D GIS-based research model of architectural heritage spatial visual perception and discuss the applicable boundary of the model and tested by SD method. At the same time and at the technical level, the method of spatial data acquisition, optimization and analysis based on three-dimension is validated, and an effective comprehensive quantitative research and protection method of architectural spatial culture is established, which is applied to the spatial analysis for Quanzhou Ancient City shows its feasibility and applicability. The specifics include: 1)Backtracked the research on the protection and analysis of physical space, and focused on the value of quantitative method under the cultural exploration of space construction;2)Reviewed the disciplinary value of spatial quantitative analysis based on the allocentricity, full dimension and space-time relations from the embodiedness of spatialvisual relation, complexity of dimension relation, and difficult of quantitative relation;3)Drawing on the image of the city and the space visibility theory, proposed the replenishing on the space research method at the microscopic scale, and to collude the geographic information technology with spatial visual analysis;4)Based on the 3D GIS-based space tool, constructed the shadow synthetic method based on spatial-volume ratio,3D visual field,3D visual angle,mutual-vision distance analysis and spatiotemporal features, which can measure the spatial characteristics of single buildings and group buildings in architectural heritage effectively;5)Based on the 3D GIS-based space tool, constructed the 3D near-line rate(including three subdimensions: near-line rate, intensity and evenness),which can measure the visual characteristics of microscopic streets and markers in architectural heritage effectively integrating with the skyline analysis and the three comprehensive methods for overall mutual visual range in space;6)Summarized the establishment principles of models and the scope of application,as well as tried to establish a 3D GIS-based research method model and spatial experiment process...
