Investigation Of Grotto Temple In Fengfeng Mining Area And Study Of Protective Grotto Eaves

Grotto temple is a foreign religious architectural art form originating in ancient India,which has been widely disseminated and developed in China as a carrier of Buddhist history and culture.The development of grotto temple culture in China rose in the Northern and Southern Dynasties,and was better than the Sui and Tang Dynasties.Influenced by religious culture,historical politics and other factors,grotto temple culture has very unique architectural characteristics and cultural research value.Fengfeng mining area has a very deep grotto temple culture.Based on the field investigation and literature research of Xiangtangshan and other grotto temples in Fengfeng mining area,Yungang and Longmen grotto temples,this paper summarizes the space types of grotto Temple niches in Fengfeng mining area,and compares their unique architectural styles and space types.On the basis of field investigation,this paper analyses the present situation of the preservation of grotto temples in Fengfeng mining area.Through the analysis of the present situation of the preservation of grotto temples in Fengfeng mining area and the main destructive factors,it summarizes the main ways adopted in the protection of grotto temples at present,further puts forward the application of protective eaves in the protection of grotto temples,and puts forward the architectural protection strategies in the protection of grotto temples.This paper summarizes the traditional types of eaves and existing protection methods,and through case studies of new protective building styles,building materials and construction technology,analyses the protection effect,and discusses the necessity of protective building in the protection of grotto temples.From the overall point of view,the research on six grotto temples in Fengfeng mining area has enriched the research types of grotto temples in this area.Although the protection work of grotto temples in the region has achieved some research results,there are still some deficiencies.From the perspective of architecture,this paper puts forward the architectural protection strategies of grotto temples,which can provide some reference for the future protection work of grotto temples.
