Study On The Cause Of Car Accidents At Intersections

The intersections converge in all directions and are at the heart of the whole road traffic system,The prevention and control of intersection accidents and the safety of road environment have become the theme of traffic accident safety research.In order to deal with the safety of traffic safety and vehicle safety of intersections,it is necessary to analyze the accident data in the intersection.The accident data used in this paper are all collected from the traffic accident investigation team of Shanghai University of Engineering Science from 2008 to 2017.The analysis is based on full and detailed data.The conclusion can provide a reliable basis for the prevention of car accidents in domestic intersections.The content of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1)To explore the characteristics and laws of car accidents at intersections.By means of graphic method,statistical analysis and other mathematical statistics,this paper analyzes the data of passenger car accidents in parts of Songjiang district of Shanghai from 2008 to 2017.The distribution of passenger car accidents is studied from four aspects: the time of accident,the type of collision,the driver's driving age and the type of accident.(2)A cumulative Logistic regression method was used to analyze the factors influencing the severity of injury in passenger car accident data.The probability prediction model of the severity degree of passenger car accident is established,and the relationship between the severity of injury is revealed.In this paper,the accuracy of the model is verified,and the prevention and treatment of the car accidents are provided.(3)The fault tree analysis method is used to analyze the traffic accident data collected and explore the deeper causes of interjunction accidents.The logical relationship between the occurrence of the intersection car accident and the factors such as human,car,road and environment is summarized from the top down to the fault tree model.Finally,the model is qualitatively analyzed and the mechanism of the accident is deduced systematically.Research shows:age,vehicle type,collision type,safety belt usage,lighting and accident period are independent variables that affect the severity of car accidents at intersections.Drivers do not avoid or avoid effective collision for vehicles that are going to collide,which are the two basic events that cause the collision of cars at the crossroads.The results obtained by combining the two models,in view of the accident somewhere intersection is analyzed,find out the cause of the accident.And summarize the security risks existing in the intersection of Songjiang District,and put forward some suggestions for improvement.
