| As of the end of 2018,China’s highway mileage reached 143,000 highways,ranking first in the world.With the increasing density,scale and depth of highway road networks,provinces and regions have generally formed a dense traffic pattern of road network loops.The goal of convenient and efficient construction has been achieved,but with the emergence of problems such as the ambiguity of vehicle travel paths,there is an urgent need to solve.Through the "cancellation of provincial toll stations",it has had a profound impact on the further development of expressways.Under the new toll model,the expressway should conduct corresponding technical research in planning,design,and management.To this end,this article mainly analyzes and studies the design optimization of the expressway service area and U-turn facilities.Under the new toll model,provincial toll stations will be cancelled.To ensure accurate route confirmation and no toll collection,ETC gantry systems should be set up scientifically and rationally at any ambiguous location on the highway to improve the overall service quality of the highway.The thesis first analyzes in detail the system composition,equipment functions,technical performance indicators and setting principles of the ETC portal system.Then,the paper analyzes that under the new charging model,under the condition of satisfying the function of the service area,the service area can realize the vehicle turning around,and the opposite sides of the original service area can be set independently,which can be optimized to the one-sided combined setting.That is,there is no need to separate the parking areas of the opposing vehicles.Optimize the location,layout,planning scale and design of the service area.The optimized new service area will be comprehensively analyzed in the planning and design,and a reasonable location will be selected to occupy or reserve certain land resources outside the service area for follow-up Development.In addition,the service area closer to the town can be directly connected through dedicated lanes,which can effectively promote the joint development of the service area and various resources,integrate with the surrounding economic development,accelerate the development speed,and improve the quality of service.Secondly,the paper studies the location and technical indicators of the U-turn facilities of the expressway under the new toll model,and proposes a reasonable distance for the U-turn facilities of the expressway according to the needs of vehicles turning around the expressway.Finally,combined with the research results of the thesis,comprehensively analyze the application situation of expressway service area and U-turn facilities in Qinghai Province,and select typical service area for design optimization and function optimization.And analyze the unique traffic conditions of Qinghai Province,select "special road sections",determine the U-turn facilities set point,and improve the road network driving conditions. |
