The space petal toothed nutating transmission device uses a new and special gear transmission form.Although its design theory has tended to be perfect,there is still no unified detection method and special detection equipment,this seriously restricts the promotion and application of the device.The device originated from the nutating bevel tooth planetary transmission with little tooth difference and the structure of the space petal tooth gear is similar to the bevel gear,all with a certain degree of taper,however,the space petal gear has a multilayer structure and the contour of the tooth surface is irregular polygon.The curvature of the tooth surface changes along the width direction of the tooth,which is quite different from the bevel gear.Therefore,based on the accuracy standards of bevel gears at home and abroad,combined with the structural characteristics of space petal tooth gears,the corresponding detection scheme is proposed and a special detection test platform is designed.The tooth surface equation of the space petal tooth gear is derived,and the gear teeth of the space petal tooth gear are modeled;combined with the domestic and foreign bevel gear detection standards and the structural characteristics of the space petal tooth nutating transmission device,the tooth pitch deviation,tooth shape deviation,tooth direction deviation and transmission efficiency are taken as the detection items and corresponding detection schemes are proposed.The detection area of tooth pitch deviation and tooth shape deviation is planned by the section line method;an adaptive algorithm for the number of sampling points and an adaptive algorithm for the position of sampling points are proposed.A two-dimensional Legendre polynomial is proposed to evaluate the pitch deviation,the concepts of full tooth pitch deviation and full tooth pitch normal deviation are defined,draw the full-tooth pitch deviation surface graph,the full-tooth pitch normal deviation surface graph and the corresponding contour map;a method for evaluating the tooth profile deviation in three dimensions is proposed,the normal deviation of the tooth shape at each sampling point is calculated by the normal deviation formula,the three-dimensional topological chart is used to complete the evaluation of the tooth profile deviation of the space petal tooth gear;a method and evaluation criteria for evaluating tooth deviation through contact spots are proposed;the detection method and evaluation standard of transmission efficiency are proposed.Combined with different test items,a test bench capable of testing tooth pitch deviation,tooth shape deviation,tooth direction deviation and transmission efficiency was designed.the test data processing program was developed to realize the rapid and automatic processing of the test data of the test bench.
