Design And Research Of Transit Signal Priority System Based On WSN

With the continuous increase of private cars,urban traffic is facing increasing pressure.As a public transportation system in urban infrastructure construction,it has the advantages of large carrying capacity,high efficiency,and less occupation of road resources.Experience has proved that the public transportation system which can reduce urban congestion,provide multiple modes of travel,optimize the urban passenger transport structure,and improve the quality of urban life plays an important role.Implementing the public transportation priority strategy and rapidly developing public transportation has become an inevitable requirement for urban transportation development.Level intersections are the intersections of traffic flows.At intersections with large traffic volumes,signal lights are needed to realize the space-time separation of traffic flows in different directions.Signalized intersections are also the bottleneck of traffic flow in a certain sense.Therefore,improving the efficiency of buses at intersections has become an important breakthrough to improve the level of public transport services.The priority of public transport signals has created conditions for the rapid passage of public transport vehicles.Based on the researching on existing bus priority technology and measure,the paper analyzed and summarized the existing main methods of bus priority signal controlling,divided into the intersection,road intersection along the bus line and main road;Based on WSN technology,the paper designed the software and hardware of Intelligent Public Transport System,involved vehicle nodes and nodes along the road;The paper surveyed the current situation of Xinyang Road Bus Corridor,designed Bus Priority System based on WSN technology,including system deployment,system communication,basic function design,software management platform function design,to achieve bus priority strategy,and to ensure the efficient,safe and smooth operation of bus system.Bus priority technology theory and methods used in this paper,would guide and support the construction of Harbin Xinyang Road Bus Corridor System,enhance management and operational efficiency of Bus Corridor System,and realize bus priority strategy.
