Research On Sustainable Business Model Innovation Of Manufacturing Enterprises-Driven By Digital Technology

The development of digital technologies such as big data,cloud computing,block-chain,and the Internet of Things has a significant impact on all aspects of society,economy,and environment.The digital economy environment is more dynamic and uncertain,and companies urgently need to think about and innovate their own business models to meet the demands of sustainable development.Under the dual pressure of sustainable development and digital transformation,sustainable business model innovation has become an important way for manufacturing enterprises to transform and innovate.However,less of previous research is conducted from the perspective of matching of sustainable business model innovation and digital technology.Under the background,it is of theoretical and practical significance to analyze the internal mechanism of digital technology driving the sustainable transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry for manufacturing enterprises to fully understand digital technology,give full play to their own resource integration capabilities and to innovate sustainable business model.This study the manufacturing enterprises with sustainable transformation in the digital economy as the research object,through questionnaire surveys and case studies,explores the internal mechanism of digital technology-driven manufacturing sustainable business model innovation and the role of resource integration capabilities.This study follows the idea of "Technology — Capability — Business Model Innovation".Based on relevant research on business model innovation,sustainable business models,resource integration capabilities and etc.,this study constructs a sustainable business model framework,which is composed of five coupled elements:value proposition,value creation,value network,financial model,and customer interface,enriches research on sustainable business models.This study uses empirical research methods to explores relationship between the four characteristics of digital technology: generativity,convergence,share-ability,flexibility and sustainable business model innovation,as well as the role of resource integration capabilities.Based on the relevant scales in the previous research and the reliability and validity analysis of the pre-test,the questionnaire was designed and perfected.A total of 332 valid questionnaires were collected in this study,and SPSS 22.0 software was used to conduct data analysis and hypothesis testing.In order to make the research results more reasonable and effective in specific practice,this study uses Haier as an example to verify the results,using qualitative content analysis,case studies methods to analyze Haier’s sustainable benefit growth,and based on the sustainable business model framework to summarizes the specific measures of Haier’s transformation,and finally refines the guiding strategies for manufacturing enterprises to innovate their sustainable business models in the digital economy environment.The empirical results show that the four characteristics of digital technology have a positive effect on the five elements of sustainable business model,and the resource integration capability plays a partial mediation role.Digital technology provides information support for the whole process of enterprises,strengthens information sharing,enables enterprises to reasonably allocate internal and external resources,supports the development of value proposition integrating economic,social and environmental benefits,and makes substantial contributions to the sustainable development goals of enterprises.Through the analysis of Haier case,the summarized guiding strategy is helpful to help manufacturing enterprises better understand and evaluate the sustainability of their business model,understand and play the role of digital technology,and provide reference suggestions for them to comply with the requirements of sustainable development in the digital economy environment.
