| Lelang Commandery is a special geographical location, since the 108 BC Han Dynasty after the Korean Emperor Hanwu set up four counties.Until the northern and Southern Dynasties,Lerang County was an important transportation hub for the Central Plain Dynasty, which connected the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese archipelago. When Lelang Commandery was first established,it faced Korea Bay in the East and became the most easterly border of the Han Dynasty. After being consolidated by Emperor Zhao of Han in 82 BC,it was connected with the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea to form a water passage from Lelang Commandery to the Central Plain dynasty. At present, most of the studies on Lelang Commandery are focused on Lelang Commandery,Lelang Commandery culture and so on.However, little attention has been paid to Lelang Commandery’s maritime relations. The main body of the thesis is divided into five chapters, which are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, which elaborates the topic and significance, combing the domestic and foreign academic research on the problems related to Le Lang County and the sea route of Lelang Commandery, and the research contents and ideas are simply summarized, and the research methods and innovations of this paper are explained. The second chapter introduces the General Situation of Lelang Commandery, mainly discusses how the Central Plain Dynasty reached the Korean Peninsula by sea during the Han and Jin dynasties. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Central Plain Dynasty entered a period of chaos. The change of regime was bound to lead to the change or obstruction of the original land transportation.Central Plain’s route, which links the Korean Peninsula with the Japanese archipelago through the sea lanes of Lelang Commandery, was the first choice for land travel. This chapter is divided into two parts to discuss the evolution of Lelang Commandery itself and the river exchange in the process of regime change in Central Plain. The third chapter,as the focus of this chapter, mainly discusses the relations between Dongyi and the Central Plain dynasty by sending envoys and paying tribute, and the communication with the Central Plain dynasty after the occupation of Le Lang and Dai Fang. And the importance of maritime exchanges in East Asia, where Lelang Commandery is located,as well as the situation in north-east Asia affected by the change of power in Lok long and Dai Fang counties. The Fourth Chapter Discusses the establishment of Lelang Commandery by the Central Plain Dynasty, the spread of Central Plain culture to Lelang Commandery, the formation of the music wave culture spread by sea,and the gradual transition to the Japanese archipelago through the Korean Peninsula, mainly reflected in iron, sericulture and silk reeling, seal mud and seal, burial form and Bronze Mirror,as well as Chinese characters. The last part is the conclusion of the thesis. On the basis of summarizing the contents and viewpoints of this paper, the author emphasizes the importance of Lerang County from the perspective of sea territory, and the cultural influence after the establishment of Lelang Commandery. |
