This dissertation is about the influences of Chinese Buddhism and Architectural culture to that of Korean peninsula between initial missionary period to 10 th century.The main materials of this research are Buddhist temple site,the religious relics and Buddhist sutra and historical records.On the bases of former study,using historic research method of textual research,estimate,comparison etc.,this discourse consists of six chapter with circumstantial discussion.At the first chapter,it introduces research status of Korean Buddhist history and Buddhist architectural history,and historic concepts and method that used in this dissertation.In the second,from the tomb mural and archaeological sites,it shows architectural appearance and style of initial missionary period in Korean peninsula.The third,systemically estimate the Buddhist temple and pagoda built for strengthening the Kingship through Buddhism,in Korean Tri-Kingdom period.The fourth,under the circumstances of international cultural exchanges,it organizes study and application of the Korean Buddhist architectural culture from that of China.In the fifth,it discusses the genesis of typical three stories stone pagoda and double pagoda composition mode in United Silla period.And the sixth chapter,following the clue of the denominations and their genealogy,surveys the trace of the Silla monk.Additionally,this corrects the existing knowledge of octagonal monk's pagoda in Korean Buddhist history.The main results of this dissertation:1.the flows of Buddhism to Korean peninsula in initial missionary period was not by the natural culture spreading,was the necessity of unification of international political situation.2.the path of Buddhism missionary were not only through the Chinese continent,but also from Middle Asia and Mongolian plateau.3.Most of Buddhist temple and theory were means of reigning for royal families and the nobility.4.Bunhwangsa and Ciensi brick pagoda were new style from India Bodh Gaya pagoda.5.Temple plan pattern of“three shrine one pagoda”in Korean Tri-Kingdom period,origin from the Qingzhou style in northern dynasty.6.Silla had simulated the Changan mode(Chanan city + Zhongnan mountain)to Silla Wanggyeong city and Nansan mountain.7.Flourishing Avatamska Buddhism in Silla create their unique style of three stories stone pagoda and double pagoda plan.8.Silla foreign monk have the trace for studying Chan Buddhism in Xianggan provinces with Xitang and Mazu,and last Fujian with Xue Feng.9.The unique Korean heritage octagonal stupa of monk in Silla,its origin came from Chinese Southern sect.At Jianxi Yangqisi,stupa of master Chengguang is the evidence of it.
