| The contemporary main battle tank has the characteristics of strong protection,high mobility and high degree of information.As the king of land war,the tank has a high degree of battlefield survivability and can effectively deal with all kinds of damage elements.It is known as the mobile battlefield fortress.Compared with other parts of armor,tank top armor has the thinnest effective armor thickness and the lowest protection ability.Therefore,tank top armor has become the most important part of all kinds of anti tank weapons and ammunition attacking the tank.The shaped charge damage element formed by the traditional single-layer liner is unable to penetrate the top armor with explosive explosive reactive armor,which can cause the incapability damage to the tank.In order to effectively solve the problem that the penetration ability of the traditional shaped charge damage element to the tank armored target is limited by the explosive explosive reactive armor,the tandem EFP technology came into being.In this paper,based on the warhead design of the terminal sensitive projectile,a multi-layer tandem EFP(explosively formed projectile)with good coaxiality and flight stability is designed to damage the tank top armor,so as to achieve the tactical assumption that the front EFP can reliably detonate the explosive reactive armor and open up a channel for the later main damage element to penetrate the tank top armor.Through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation,the forming process of tandem EFP and the penetration process of tank top armor target are systematically studied in this paper.The influence of shaped charge structure on the forming process of tandem EFP and the protection ability of target plate target against tandem EFP under different working conditions are obtained.Selecting the appropriate material equation of state and strength model,using the nonlinear dynamics software ANSYS/LS-DYNA,the influencing factors of the formation of tandem EFP with multi-layer shaped charge liner placed axially were analyzed.The main influencing factors were curvature radius,total wall thickness and wall thickness ratio of multi-layer shaped charge liner.The structure parameters of shaped charge with tandem EFP are obtained.Considering the velocity attenuation of tandem EFP flying in the air,the aerodynamic shape parameters of different tandem EFP are obtained.The velocity attenuation formula and software are used to calculate the near target velocity of tandem EFP.The process and results of the front-stage EFP penetrating steel target are analyzed under the different conditions of the impact angles of 0°,15° and 30° respectively,and then the penetration ability of the front-stage EFP is studied.Based on the calculated critical velocity of EFP,the penetration process of the front EFP to the explosive reactive armor and the influence of the impact angle and the thickness of the shield plate on the initiation of the sandwich charge of EFP are studied;the penetration process and results of the middle and rear EFP in tandem under different impact angles and different thickness of the target plate are studied,and the simulation scheme of single-layer EFP penetrating the explosive reactive armor target plate is established,The application advantages of tandem EFP are obtained.The research results can provide theoretical value for the design optimization and engineering application of tandem EFP warhead. |
