Since the society entered the information age,the rapid development and promotion of information technology has improved the productivity of various industries and promoted the continuous upgrading and innovation of various industries.The construction industry recognized the great role of information technology in providing low-cost,high-quality and short-term construction products,and began to vigorously promote the industry’s information construction,BIM came into being.However,due to the late start of BIM in China and short research history,the understanding and application of BIM in China is still at the beginning of the exploration stage.It is necessary to conduct relevant research and application of BIM in accordance with national conditions in order to improve the productivity of the domestic construction industry.At present,With the development and expansion of the construction industry in the past decades,the cumulative number of existing buildings in China has been very large,and some old buildings have existed for a long time,reaching the design life and gradually aging,and the bearing capacity may decline,failing to meet the safe use of buildings.It is very necessary to use information technology to quickly recheck the structural safety of these existing buildings.This article analyzes the current domestic research and application status of BIM,and proposes a new understanding of BIM in light of the problems in the domestic development process and the basic concepts of BIM,that is BIM is "three-dimensional model + information database",and developed a complete structural safety recheck system for program design concepts.The structural safety recheck system has functions such as information integration,analysis and calculation,safety recheck,and report output.It can integrate all kinds of related information and store it in the database in a uniformly determined data format,providing a data basis for the deep mining of future data information.At the same time,the program development of the entire system is based on the object-oriented programming idea,which is conducive to the writing,modification,maintenance of the system programs,and the expansion of functions.This article based on the structural safety recheck system developed by the "3D model + information database",has realized rapid structural safety recheck of buildings,which not only fills the research gap of domestic BIM in the structural structure safety recheck stage,but also meets the actual society in China.The situation is in line with the actual social needs and provides a certain reference for the exploration,innovation and application of BIM concepts and technologies in China.
