As the premise and foundation of project construction,construction site layout planning plays a crucial role in improving project quality,ensuring project schedule and optimizing construction resource allocation.The problem of site layout has always been considered as a traditional quadratic assignment problem with a lot of research in network planning optimization.The existing site layout optimization methods are still dominated by manual calculation and factitious decision,which ignores the spatial relationship of construction site.Interference and collision in construction due to more and more difficult construction environment,the congested and crowded construction space in the downtown reduce the construction efficiency,even cause construction accidents.Methods for intelligent layout and optimization of construction site are quite necessary.Therefore,this study tried to find a novel method of the intelligent layout and optimization of construction site through modeling and computer simulation.Considering spatial construction relation based on Agent technology to arrange the construction site dynamically and optimize the construction site layout intelligently.This paper is mainly based on Agent theory,computational complexity theory and complex adaptive system.Adopting genetic algorithm of quadratic assignment problem to solve the site layout planning problem aiming at its time and space complexity.Two objective functions:the minimum material transportation cost and the maximum comprehensive relationship of facilities,were established by considering the characteristics of site layout.Considering the complex adaptability of construction system,the premise condition and advantages of Agent-based simulation technology were deeply analyzed on the view of the characteristics of construction site layout issue.The three agents,facilities,roads and vehicles Agent were abstracted by Agent simulation modeling method among the elements of construction site.And then,the size transformation model,A-star algorithm and construction transportation behavior were used separately to build the modeling of these three Agents.In addition,the design of Agent-based simulation program framework for construction site layout was completed in Matlab simulation platform using genetic algorithm.On the basis of the research above,the construction site of Wuyuanwan bay metro station is used as a case for layout simulation.Finally,the site layout plan was verified by collision detection in BIM.The research shows that the facility,vehicle and road models based on Agent simulation technology have good autonomy,interactivity and universality.These models are applicable to the simulation analysis of various construction site layout problems.The combination of Agent technology and genetic algorithm provided a good solution speed on the problems of plane planning and spatial relation for construction site layout,and also can work out optimized construction site layout plan.This new research idea provides a new direction on the intelligent dynamic layout of construction site.
