Research On The Influencing Mechanism Of Ecological Welfare Performance In China Based On PLS-SEM

Since the Industrial Revolution,environmental accidents have occurred frequently,ecological resources have become increasingly tense,and the pressure on ecosystems has continued to increase,which has had an important impact on the quality of economic growth and the quality of life of residents,and has seriously affected human survival and well-being.Ecological welfare performance,as one of the important indicators for sustainable development,has received widespread attention from all walks of life.It is of great practical significance to promote the improvement of ecological welfare performance.In view of this,this article takes the ecological welfare performance as the research object,and in-depth explores the influencing factors of China’s ecological welfare performance and its influencing mechanism and path in order to provide theoretical and empirical references for improving China’s ecological welfare performance.First,this article introduces the background,purpose,and significance of ecological welfare performance research,comprehensively sorts out relevant literature on ecological welfare performance,and discusses Xi Jinping’s thoughts on ecological civilization,Daly’s steady-state economics thoughts,and the welfare of Amartya Sen.Based on economic thoughts,the concepts of ecological welfare and ecological welfare performance were proposed.Next,it comprehensively explains the impact of the four key elements of green technology innovation,environmental regulation,economic openness,and industrial structure on the performance of ecological welfare,and the interaction between the factors,and then builds the impact mechanism of ecological welfare performance based on the PLS-SEM.At the same time,based on the requirements of the PLS-SEM,in order to obtain the measured variables of ecological welfare performance,this paper uses the per capita ecological footprint model and the vertical and horizontal opening method to calculate the per capita ecological footprint,environmental pollution index,and ecological resource consumption index.Based on this,based on the model of the impact mechanism of ecological welfare performance,this paper uses the statistical data of 2011-2017 to empirically study the impact mechanism of ecological welfare performance in 30 provinces in China(excluding Tibet Autonomous Region).The province’s ecological welfare performance is measured quantitatively.The research results show that: green technological innovation,environmental regulation,and economic openness have a comprehensive positive effect on China’s ecological welfare performance,and the industrial structure has a restraining effect on China’s ecological welfare performance;the consumption of ecological resources continues to increase,but environmental pollution decreases year by year;The development of positive ecological welfare performance is unstable,but the negative ecological welfare performance is steadily decreasing;from 2011 to 2017,the ecological welfare performance of China’s provinces has shown an increasing development trend year by year.Finally,this article puts forward five suggestions,such as vigorously advocating green technological innovation,implementing reasonable environmental regulations,continuing further increasing economic openness,promoting industrial structure optimization,and focusing on coordinated regional development,to provide decision-making references for improving China’s ecological welfare performance.
