| In the past,China’s social and economic development model of emphasizing speed over quality for a long time has made cities face severe challenges in resources, environment and ecology, which has a negative impact on the improvement of residents’ happiness and social welfare level, and is not conducive to the realization of high-quality development of cities. In this context, the concept of ecological welfare performance began to be paid attention to.Ecological welfare performance refers to the transformation efficiency from the consumption of natural resources to the generation of social welfare. It emphasizes the coordinated development of society, economy and environment. The study of urban ecological welfare performance in the Yellow River basin is of great significance for promoting the construction of ecological civilization and realizing sustainable development in the basin. This paper selects the Super-SBM model including bad output to measure and evaluate the ecological welfare performance(EWP)of 78 cities in the Yellow River basin from 2008 to 2019,and calculates the changes of ecological total factor productivity in the past 12 years by combining with the Malmquist index. The evaluation research on the performance level is carried out from the static space-time evolution and dynamic evolution respectively; The exploratory spatial data method(ESDA)is used to analyze the spatial autocorrelation characteristics of the performance level among cities in the Yellow River basin; In addition, based on the spatial econometric model, the measured urban performance value is taken as the dependent variable, and the economic scale, industrial structure, technological investment, population concentration, economic extroversion, environmental regulation and urban greening of the cities in the Yellow River basin are taken as the independent variables. The spatial Dubin model is selected to study the influencing factors. The main conclusions are as follows: On the whole, the urban ecological welfare performance in the Yellow River basin is low,and most urban performance fluctuates and rises during the sample period, and the performance level varies greatly among cities;Through Malmquist index and its decomposition,it is found that the overall ecological total factor productivity is greater than 1,and the improvement of technical efficiency is the main driving force for the improvement of the performance value of most cities;Exploratory spatial data analysis found that the urban ecological welfare performance in the Yellow River basin has a significant spatial positive autocorrelation, and the spatial distribution is mainly characterized by "high performance value-high performance value, low performance value-low performance value" clustering; The spatial regression results show that the urban economic scale, environmental regulation intensity and urban greening level have a significant positive impact on the improvement of the city’s own performance level. The industrial structure and population density will have a negative effect on the city’s own performance level, and the industrial structure and urban greening level will have a positive spatial spillover effect on the neighboring cities, while the population density and environmental regulation intensity will have a negative spatial spillover effect on the neighboring cities. Finally, according to the analysis conclusion, the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the urban ecological welfare performance in the Yellow River basin.Figure [5] table [16] reference [88]... |
