Research On Short Food Videos From The Perspective Of Defamiliarization Theory

With the deepening of the Internet era,the era of fragmentation has arrived and the rise of attention economy.Short video has become an important means of information communication and dissemination.In the gradual development of short videos,short videos related to food,as things closely related to people’s lives,show outstanding performance in the field of vertical segmentation of short videos and are favored by the audience.Taking the express train of technological development,today’s short food videos have been innovated and deformed by creators,which are different from the previous illustrated recipes and traditional food tutorial videos.Under the development of the new era,they have a new performance and present the defamiliarization form to the audience.This paper first sorts out the development process of short food videos from the three aspects of communication carrier,communication content and communication form,and summarizes the characteristics of the gradual development and maturity of short food videos at present.After combing,it is found that the current food short video communication gradually presents a trend of defamiliarization.Secondly,in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3,this paper explores the short-sighted defamiliarization strategies adopted by food categories from the perspectives of content presentation and content construction,and analyzes the content of short food videos that are currently attracting a certain amount of attention,so as to analyze the current defamiliarization strategies of short food videos.Finally,based on the above analysis,this paper summarizes the cultural significance brought by the defamiliarization effect of short food videos,as well as the possible harm of excessive defamiliarization.While affirming the positive cultural significance brought by the defamiliarization effect of short food videos,this paper also warns the trend of creators and audiences blindly pursuing defamiliarization,and puts forward reasonable suggestions,in the hope of contributing to the healthy development of short food videos.
