With the development of China’s economy and technology,China’s enterprises are gradually turn to "create in China" from "made in China".Premier Li Keqiang pointed out the importance to promote the integration of innovation chain,industrial chain and capital chain.It’s necessary to accelerate the deep integration of science and technology and the economy.As an important part of national economy,science and technology service enterprises play an irreplaceable role in promoting the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements.In the process of connecting science and technology activities and industrial activities,science and technology service enterprises have the characteristics of two-way participation in scientific and technological activities and industrial activities,and play an important "interface" role.Some science and technology service enterprises in China have accumulated rich industrial experience and excellent R&D ability.However,there are still some enterprises can’t provide effective services for the transformation of innovation achievements,with insufficient coordination between "scientific and technological activities" and "industrial activities".What factors are responsible for the gap of these enterprises? The influence of single factor is too weak,but it is too difficult for enterprises to improve all the possible factors.Therefore,key factors influencing the development and activities of science and technology service enterprises are explored.Through the typical case study,this paper analyzes the key factors of the interface functions in science and technology service enterprises.First,based on the existing literature,the interface functions and influencing factors of science and technology service enterprises are summarized.Then,combined with the grounded analysis of typical cases,the research identifies three key influencing factors of organizational learning,resource integration and industry environment,as well as two outcome variables of the one-way interface function and the two-way interface function.Finally,39 case samples are analyzed by fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis,and five key factors configurations are found.A key factors configuration model of the interface functions in science and technology service enterprises is constructed.The findings are as follows.First,According to the characteristics in the degree of participation in scientific and technological activities and industrial activities,the interface functions of science and technology service enterprises are summarized as one-way interface function including “industrial activities based on science and technology activities” type and “science and technology activities based on industrial activities” type,and two-way interface function of “the two-way docking of science and technology activities and industrial activities” type.Second,three key factors of organizational learning,resource integration and industry environment are found influencing interface functions in science and technology enterprises by certain configuration.There are also interactions among various factors in the configuration.Third,the evolution rules and the mechanism of key influencing factors are revealed.This study enriches the relevant theories of science and technology enterprises,and also provides some reference for the development of science and technology enterprises,including the path of promoting the transformation of innovation achievements,and key factors should be emphasized in the evolution of interface functions.
