Research On The Properties And Methodology Of Comparative Safety Science As Well As Its Applications

At present, the whole framework and several contents of safety science and technology have been built, but the substance are quite poor. With the development of safety discipline, more profound problems are highlighted, and to solve these problems needs the innovation of the basic theory of safety science. It is suggested that the comparative safety science can be taken as an incision during investigating the methodology of safety science. The comparative safety science came forward by professor Wu Chao in2007. Since then, properties of comparative safety science, including the subject significance, connotation and framework, have been preliminary established. Besides, the branch system have been defined and studied with follow aspects: comparative safety pedagogy, comparative safety psychology. While other basic properties, such as subject characteristics, theoretical basis, contents and most of discipline branch are not clear. Based on above background, this research is on the properties and methodology of comparative safety science as well as its applications, trying to figure out the basic properties and enrich the framework of comparative safety science. We also presented some researches on the interdisciplinary diachronic study, constructing the methodology and domestic and foreign regulation system as practical application of the thesis. Our results showed that many new safety methodologies can be invented late by the comparative safety science from multi-angles.This thesis mainly includes five parts, seven chapters:Comparative method, Inductive deductive method, Statistical method, Consulting literature, Description method, Structure analysis. The results are summarized as follows.Then the definition of comparative safety science is put forward for the first time and its connotation is analyzed.(1) Based on connotation of comparative safety science, its properties on the significance, object, contents, methods, characteristics and trends were determined and the definition of comparative safety was analyzed. (2) Comparative safety science was identified with the theoretical basis of Marxist philosophy and safety methodology, etc., and the subject basis of comparative science, literature retrieval, sociology. Some supplements on the diverse disciplines framework of comparative safety science is constructed.(3) According to discussing the relationships on the safety science and other related disciplines such as philosophy, art and so on, we found these association ware both profound and historically. This mutual permeability relationship belongs to the interdisciplinary diachronic study, reflecting the interdisciplinary and intertemporal properties of comparative safety science.(4) From the view of methodology, six basic characteristics of methodology of comparative safety science were founded, which containing refined philosophy layer center, principle of methodology, research methods, methodology features, a four-dimensional structure system, research procedures and a paradigm system.(5) This research selected comparative safety ethics as a branch of comparative safety science. Especially explored its method, objects and contents, the results turned out that safer ethics was of great significance to explore basic theory of security ethics, establish safety ethics system and promote the formation of safety ethics is of great significance.(6) As a project instance of comparative safety science, comparison on safety supervision system among the United States, Japan, Britain and China highlighted the cross-cultural and transnational characteristics of comparative safety science. Besides, through description, comparison and analysis of the safety supervision system in our country, we found there are still many problems to solve, and our research has put forward relevant proposals.
