"Participatory" Modular Womenswear Design Combined With Sustainable Fashion Concepts

Sustainable fashion is currently a key issue in the fashion and textile industry,and modular design concepts and methods are often found in many apparel and wearable products.The 'participatory' modular fashion garment with detachable parts can be changed with the seasons,the environment or the tastes of the wearer,resulting in different looks and shapes that are more in line with the needs of diversity and individuality,extending the life cycle of the product and thus achieving a sustainable fashion idea.This paper examines the concept of sustainable fashion and the modular design of women's clothing with the participation of the wearer.At the same time,we define the concept and analyse the characteristics of the object of this study-"participatory" sustainable fashion modular women's clothing.Secondly,the paper further explores the design method of "participatory" sustainable fashion modular women's clothing in four aspects: material,modularity,integrated design and balance of clothing.In the modular design section,the research summarises how the garment modules are classified,divided and composed,and connected.Finally,in the design practice,a series of thematic garments are designed,which are combined with the design ideas and methods in the previous section to assist in the creative design.The design of this project is based on the "participatory" sustainable fashion modular womenswear of the wearer,combining the modular and modular modules,incorporating different ways of dividing and composing the modules,and exploring the "participatory" modular womenswear design combined with the concept of sustainable fashion.In this process,different creative expressions are experimented with,making use of a limited number of garment modules to give the garment as diverse an appearance as possible and to express the concept of sustainable fashion creativity.In theory,this study hopes to provide clearer design ideas for this type of design,improve design efficiency,and make the design more diverse,personalised,creative and fashionable;in practice,it also provides an idea and reference for this type of design.
