The Innovation And Application Of Zero-waste Design In Fashion Design

With the rapid development of modern social science and technology,life has become increasingly convenient,but it has also brought a big burden to the nature.The concept of sustainable development has gradually been accepted and valued by the people.In the garment industry,the dyeing and finishing of fabrics;the waste of materials and the energy waste of transportation to the recycling of the last used clothing,most of these production process can not form a "cradle to Cradle"(C2C)–the virtuous circle,which causes a waste of resources and environmental pollution.Therefore,more and more environmentally-conscious fashion designers are working on sustainable fashion design,including zero-waste clothing design,one-piece multi-wear,and waste fabric recycling,in an attempt to increase clothing's life and reduce environmental pollution.This paper mainly studies the zero waste design in sustainable fashion design,summarizes the modernization of zero waste design,and carries out exploratory practice to realize the contemporary and innovative zero waste design method.From three aspects,including one piece of cloth zero waste;discharge type zero waste and splicing type zero waste,to exploring the value of zero waste clothing design for environmental protection.
