Zipper is a kind of hardware commonly used in daily life.In order to meet its decorative requirements,it needs to be coated and colored.At present,the coatings applied on zipper heads are mainly solvent-based,and the high-emission VOCs are not friendly to the environment and human health.Due to the special application of the zipper head,its paint film must have the characteristics of washing resistance,abrasion resistance,strong adhesion as well as good decoration.Therefore,there is an urgent need to develop a kind of environmentally-friendly waterborne coating with excellent performance for zipper heads.The thesis includes the following two parts:1.The first part is preparation and performance research of waterborne epoxy/EMI-2,4coating for zipper heads.Firstly,the suitable binder is picked from several waterborne epoxy emulsions,then the influence on the coating of emulsion particle size,the ratio of epoxy emulsion and 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole curing agent,curing conditions,and adhesion promoters are explored.The experimental results show that the waterborne epoxy emulsion with moderate particle size can meet the construction conditions of the zipper head.When the weight ratio of the emulsion and the curing agent is 100:4,it can meet the requirements of the viscosity during the construction window.And it can be cured at 140°C for 60 min,then the paint film has the best overall performance.Adding 2~4% suitable silane coupling agent adhesion promoter can significantly improve adhesion and washing resistance of the paint film.2.The second part is preparation and performance research of waterborne epoxy/amine coating for zipper heads.Firstly the effect of epoxy group and active hydrogen equivalent ratio on paint film performance and the construction window period of the system are explored.Then the attempt to improve leveling of the paint film in these aspects is made:leveling agents,wetting agents and coalescing agents.The experimental results show that:using waterborne epoxy emulsion E-Pos 1011W55 as the binder and Q-RIT 1071 as the amine curing agent,keeping the ratio of the amount of the active hydrogen material between 1.14 and 1.26,adding 0.2% siloxane leveling agent and 0.2% acetylene glycol wetting agent,using4% PGDA as the coalescing agent,curing at 120°C for 30 minutes,the obtained paint film has a good overall performance,including bright and flat surface,adhesion,abrasion resistance,water resistance,etc.They can meet the actual application requirements.
