Water-based epoxy floor coatings use water as the dispersion medium,which not only retains the excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of solvent-based epoxy coatings,but also reduces the content of volatile organic compounds(VOC)and harmful air pollutants(HAP).In the process of production,transportation,storage,and use,it is safe and environmentally friendly,and has become a research hotspot in the field of floor coatings.However,the study of water-based chemistry in this field is still in its infancy.This paper combines the deficiencies of domestic and the following three parts are studied:The first is the synthesis of waterborne epoxy resin emulsions and their emulsifiers.A nonionic reactive emulsifier was synthesized using polyethylene glycol(PEG),methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride(MHHPA),and epoxy resin(E51),and an aqueous epoxy resin emulsion was prepared using the inverse conversion method.The relationship between reaction temperature,time,catalyst amount,esterification rate and epoxy conversion rate was discussed.The effect of PEG molecular weight on the emulsifying performance of emulsifier was investigated.The emulsifier dosage,emulsification temperature and solid content of emulsion were studied.The effect of the performance and particle size distribution characterizes the FT-IR of the emulsifier and the TEM of the emulsion.The results showed that the solid content of the prepared emulsion was about50wt%,the epoxy equivalent was about 410g/mol,the stability was good,the average particle size was about 280 nm,and the distribution was very narrow.Followed by the synthesis of waterborne modified polyamide curing agent.A nonionic waterborne modified polyamide curing agent was synthesized using polyetheramine,maleic anhydride(MAH),and polyamines.The reaction temperature and reaction time of the curing agent synthesis process were determined.The effects of the molecular weight of the polyether amine,the type and amount of the polyamines on the performance of the curing agent and the properties of the coating film were investigated,and the FT-IR structure of the curing agent was characterized.The results showed that the solid content of the solidifying agent was about 50wt%,the active hydrogen equivalent was about 274g/mol,the dryness was good,the pot life was long,and the curing performance was excellent.Finally,the curing performance of waterborne epoxy floor coatings was studied.Emulsion water-borne epoxy floor coating was prepared with self-made water-borne epoxy resin emulsion and curing agent and a varnish film was prepared.The curing mechanism of the system was determined and the pot life was determined.The influence of the ratio of the curing agent and the emulsion on the film performance was studied.The application formula for waterborne epoxy floor coating topcoat was optimized.The comprehensive performance of the self-made waterborne epoxy floor coating was compared and evaluated,and the TG of cured coating film was characterized.The results showed that the optimal ratio was 1:1.5,the pot life was 3 hours,and the glossiness was 95(60°).The physical and chemical properties of the film were excellent,which was greatly improved than the existing domestic technology.
