Natural gas power generation is clean,efficient and low-carbon,which is of great significance to China’s realization of "clean and low-carbon,safe and efficient" energy strategy.At present,natural gas power generation is still in the initial development stage.How to achieve rapid development and reduce costs has become the primary problem of the entire natural gas power generation industry and as an emerging industry of HD Group.Considering the promotion of the natural gas power generation business and the long-term development of the enterprise,how to formulate a strategic layout that can obtain market competitive advantages is an important issue that the HD Group urgently needs to solve.This thesis proposes a total cost leadership strategy from the perspective of the selection and implementation of the HD Group’s natural gas power generation development strategy.First,the PEST model is used to analyze the external macro environment of HD Group’s natural gas power generation.As a result,it is found that the domestic natural gas power generation is in the initial development stage,and there are opportunities for the development of clean energy transformation.Secondly,the Porter Five Forces model is used to analyze the HD Group’s natural gas power generation industry facing the competitive environment.The results show that strong suppliers,the need for gas-electricity coordination,and national oil and gas reform and gas source development policies are conducive to lower prices.Then,from the aspects of organization,resources,capabilities,and value chain,the internal environment analysis of HD Group’s natural gas power generation was conducted to find out the key internal and external factors affecting natural gas power generation.Furthermore,through the SWOT competition strategy matrix,combined with the QSPM quantitative strategy matrix for strategic analysis,and the development strategy for power product characteristics and enterprise resource elements matching analysis,determine the feasibility and necessity of HD Group’s natural gas power generation to select the leading cost strategy.Finally,the HD Group’s natural gas power generation development strategy was formulated,the implementation path containing multiple measures was clarified,and the implementation effect of each specific measure implemented by the strategy was analyzed and evaluated.This thesis systematically analyzes the HD Group’s natural gas power generation,and believes that the HD Group should seize the opportunity of clean energy transformation,give full play to the technological advantages,and combine the advantages of natural gas power generation with clean and efficient proximity to the terminal,to achieve the development strategic goal of natural gas power generation with a total cost competitive advantage,and promote HD Group’s leading advantage in transforming into an integrated energy service provider.
