A greater number of total quality management(TQM)programs executed by Bnet Business Services Engineering company Limited(BBS)in the petroleum sector in Ghana has failed to yield the anticipated benefit.The aim of this paper is to look at how the TQM program was implemented at BBS Engineering Company in Ghana's oil and gas sector.In this study,the factors affecting TQM implementation at BBS engineering company limited;whether or not there are problems in implementing effective TQM at BBS Engineering Company Limited;and the impact of TQM implementation on organizational effectiveness and efficiency were evaluated.Herein,the research employed descriptive method in gathering data using standard instruments.A total of 300 questionnaires were administered to employees,both senior and junior staff,of BBS using:Leadership,Top management commitment,Quality Policy,Employee Involvement,Continuous Improvement,Customer Focus and Process Approach as the exploratory variables while the TQM implementation is the dependent variable.Statistical data analysis such as:confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)was employed in establishing the construct validity of the variables items,whereas exploratory factor analysis(EFA)was employed to figure out how much of the variance in the variables measured is attributed to each latent variable used for the study;also reliability test analysis,factor analysis,and Pearson's correlation analysis were used to examine the relationships among the variables as well as the reliability of the findings.Moreover,multiple regression was used in examining the direct effects of the relationships among the variables.On the basis of the Cronbach's alpha coefficient(>0.70),the questionnaire for the study was accepted and admissible.The regression analysis indicates that 70.61%of the variations in the TQM is explained by the joint contribution of Leadership,Top Management commitment,Quality policy,Employee involvement,Continuous Improvement,Process Approach and Customer Focus.Altogether,the findings of the present study reveal that Leadership,Top Management commitment,Quality policy,Employee Involvement,Continuous Improvement and Customer Focus indicators significantly affect TQM implementation.Drawing on the study's finding,the study,therefore recommended that:all factors influencing or having a major impact on TQM implementation at BBS Engineering Company Limited Ghana must be of importance to the company,that is employees must be involved in the TQM program;quality policy must be provided and top management must show true leadership in the implementation of the TQM.Continuous Improvement and Customer Focus must also be of important whiles implementing TQM at the company.This will ensure a successfully implementation of TQM program at BBS Engineering Company Limited which will put the company in a better position to compete with competitors and satisfy the demand of their customers.
