"Natural gas purification plant" is an important part of the process from raw gas to commercial gas,its safe operation is the focus of social attention."Natural gas purification plant" has the characteristics of high risk,once the accident,the consequences are serious.Therefore,it is of great significance to adopt various qualitative and quantitative methods such as "HAZOP analysis" to optimize the process flow and process equipment of "natural gas purification plant" and improve the essential safety of the device.This paper analyzes the main hazard factors existing in the expansion project of a domestic "Natural gas purification plant",divides the nodes according to the characteristics of the process flow,and analyzes the possible accident types and risk levels of each node with the "HAZOP analysis",and puts forward improvement measures;The improvement measures are classified according to the types of renovation,investment and units involved,and analyzed and studied respectively;Safeti software was used to simulate the fire and explosion accidents caused by leakage or rupture of key equipment,and the "quantitative calculation" of the accident consequences was carried out to obtain personal risks and social risks,and judge the impact range of the station accident;Further,"LOPA" method is adopted to "quantify" the probability of events before and after the improvement of process equipment,so as to judge the effectiveness of improvement measures to improve the essential safety of process equipment;For some BPCS identified as failure in the "LOPA" validation,"SIL grading and verification" is introduced to "quantify" the failure probability of the safety instrumentation system to determine whether the current instrumentation system meets the safety integrity requirements.Through analysis and research,it can be concluded that the accident of this plant will lead to casualties in a certain range of people inside and outside the station,but there is basically no adverse impact on the surrounding villages,and its personal and social risks are acceptable.From the perspective of safety economics,the improvement measures proposed by "HAZOP analysis" in this plant have a very high cost-efficiency ratio.After the implementation of the renovation,through parameter comparison,the operation stability and safety of the process equipment have been significantly improved.After "SIL grading and verification",the configuration of each SIS meets the required safety integrity,and the actual effect of HAZOP improvement measures can meet the requirements.
