The Conversion And Application Of Nabis Painting Language In Knitted Garment Design

The Nabis was born at the time of impressionism,and though it lasted only a few decades,it started a short and splendid transitional art movement in the art center of Paris,France.Nabis in impressionist art expression based on the study,for the life of the common natural elements to describe object,weaken the emphasis on the reality of objective image,will their inner subjective feelings into the works,the leading role in the artistic creation of subjective feeling of deepening the impressionist technique of expression and combination of the artist’s feelings,thoughts,wisdom,created the artistic style of adornment sex is extremely strong,has an irreplaceable position in art history.They maximize the expression of their rich subjective consciousness and selfvalues through flat composition and strong emotional color.This artistic spirit of following true emotion and subjective consciousness is also the design principle that contemporary costume art design should follow.With the improvement of economic level,consumers’ requirements for clothing are gradually developing towards personalized development.As an important part of clothing types,knitted clothing is also faced with a series of problems such as the improvement of consumers’ aesthetic demand and cultural connotation demand for knitted clothing.Single style design can no longer satisfy consumers’ pursuit of fashion individuality,and knitting products on the market generally focus on functionality but lack design sense.In this case,the combination of painting art and knitting clothing design can be regarded as an innovative solution.The painting art pays attention to the aesthetic feeling of composition and color impact of the picture,as well as the unique artistic beauty and cultural connotation of the picture.Color,brush strokes,composition and other painting languages can be effectively combined with the characteristics of knitted clothing,providing a strong and solid foundation and a steady flow of inspiration for the design of knitted clothing.In this paper,the design inspiration comes from the nabis,the author start from the formation and development of nabis,bonnard nabis painter through analysis and research,such as people’s paintings,the nabis painting color language,writing,make a summary of the spirit of painting,and discusses the nabis in painting language and the compatibility between the knitting clothing design.In combination with the characteristics of knitted garments,color languages such as juxtaposed and mixed colors of Nabi’s paintings,simplified contrast of color blocks,the dynamic sense of short strokes,the sense of stacking and weight of superimposed strokes are applied and transformed into the design of knitted garments.A series of works are designed to create new visual forms and wearing feelings of knitted clothing through its unique texture and silhouette design,so as to maximize the aesthetic value of Nabi’s painting language.
