The Influence Of Architectural Carpentry Work Structure On The Form Of "Song-style" Tall Seating Furniture

In an era when "Song Studies" has become a prominent science,it is timely to conduct an in-depth study of the relationship between the structure of architectural woodwork and the form of Song-style tall seating furniture.Architecture and furniture have the same root and are inseparable,and Song-style seating furniture is influenced by the structure of architectural woodwork,forming the form of "sinew and bone,thinking and reasoning" and showing the design style of "strict,simple,elegant,easy and subtle".The aim of the present paper is to compare the form and structure of traditional architectural woodwork with that of Song-style tall seating furniture,and to elaborate the influence of woodwork on Song-style seating furniture from the inside out,so as to provide some reference for the inheritance of traditional Chinese furniture culture and the design of modern new Chinese seating furniture.This project unfolds the analysis of the development and evolution of the large architectural woodwork structure and Song-style tall seating furniture,and elaborates the origin of their development.Then,the influence of the woodwork structure on the form of Song-style seating furniture is explored at two levels: firstly,the paper analyzes the correlation and homogeneity between traditional architectural woodwork and Song-style seating furniture from three internal aspects: internal structure,form logic and decorative aesthetics,by using the comparative analysis method.Secondly,by using the historical research method and the multidisciplinary cross-research method,the correlation and homogeneity between the form structure types of Song-style seating furniture and Song-style seating furniture are analyzed.Besides,by comparing the evolution of the structural types of Song-style seating furniture and the structure and form of specific components in the architecture of large woodwork,such as the horizontal posts and beams,square,trusses,brackets and ridge,the teeth and the square,the brackets and the foundation,the waist and the suye seat,the legs and the column bases,we find out the correlation and influence of their forms,and summarize the external appearance after the transformation of the two forms.Furthermore,by applying the logical argument method,we combine the design and development of modern new Chinese seating furniture with the development of the new Chinese style.At last,the logical argument is applied to explore the design concept and form of Chinese seating furniture suitable for the present time,taking into account the development of modern New Chinese seating furniture.The study shows that the development of traditional architectural woodwork guided and facilitated the transformation of Song-style tall seating furniture,whether in terms of design thinking,form and structure,or form of components,woodwork provided a reference for Song-style seating furniture.
