| Rapid development of construction of China has immensely thrust national economy.Meanwhile,the industry of construction has solved employment problems.However,due to characters of fierce operation conditions,complexity of process and long term of construction of projects,the industry is facing frequent challenge of safety,of which,the amount of struck-by accidents account for a large proportion.Therefore,in order to improve safety status of construction industries so as to reduce casualties and economic loss of the industry,the characteristics and causes of struck-by accidents need to be studied to avoid or reduce struck-by accidents.This thesis collected and investigated 214 struck-by accidents reports between 2012 and 2019 to sort out common elements of struck-by accidents so as to reduce and prevent struck-by accidents.The thesis studies patterns,including months,time and specifications of struck-by accidents by descriptive statistics.Later on,the thesis employs the framework of human factor analysis and classification system(HFACS)into human factor analysis of struck-by accidents.First,it outlines the framework of HFACS for struck-by accidents analysis based on accident investigation report and characters of the industry.Then,with the collected investigation reports,the thesis studies frequency of human factor of the accidents and refers the main human factor of the struck-by accidents.Then,the thesis forms a Bayesian Network of the struck-by accidents by combining HFACS framework with Bayesian Network Model.By referring 20 sample accident investigations,the thesis proves accuracy and effectiveness of the model.Then,the Bayesian network was used to study the correlation between human factors,and the causal chains and sensitive nodes that most easily lead to unsafe behaviors of workers were discovered.Finally,the thesis will raise corresponding measures according to outcome of analysis.Results of the analysis suggests that insufficiency of monitors,flaws of management,low sense of safety and illegal operation are the main factors of struck-by accidents.The most possible chain of cause of illegal operation is:management flaws→insufficient surveillance→low sense of safety→illegal operation.Studies of the thesis serves as guidance to prevention of struck-by accidents and at the same time,it offers reference and advice to companies and site management crews. |
