Research On Sofa Product Design Based On Synaesthesia Theory

In the new era of lifestyle Innovation,people have higher requirements for the higher level value and connotation of sofa products,such as experience,emotion and meaning,etc.,and the research and application of synaesthesia theory in sofa product design is one of the important ways to respond to people's concern.The paper explored the design of sofa products based on synaesthesia theory through ZMET research,qualitative research,literature research,case study,questionnaire survey and other research methods,so as to solve the more and more serious homogenization problems in style,appearance,functional hardware,surface treatment,function configuration and other aspects of sofa products,as well as limited by traditional and conventional expression of the vision and touch leads to the sofa experience is not rich and multi-dimensional problems.The research results of the paper are as follows:1.This paper summarized and put forward four conversion principles of synaesthesia in sofa product design,which are user-centered,indirect conversion,based on design language and meaning orientation,and establishes the premise and requirements of synaesthesia application in sofa product design.2.Four elements in the conversion process are analyzed and summarized,and the different contents of each element are classified,which are user groups(minority users,mass users),memory contents(daily sensory memory,recall sensory memory),design language(formal language,use language),synesthesia experience(sensory pleasure,emotional pleasure).The first two belong to The common sensory memory content before conversion,and the latter two belong to the sofa product and experience content after conversion.3.On the basis of the research on the conversion principle and elements and the synaesthesia triggered by different design languages of sofa,this paper put forward two conversion methods of visualization as formal language and behavior as use language,and constructs the design method theory of synaesthesia in sofa product design.4.Output a series of sofa synaesthesia design scheme,verify the feasibility of the basic theory of this study in the design of sofa products.
