Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Water Resources Protection In Xichuan County Of Danjiangkou Reservoir

The South-to-North Water Diversion Project is one of country's strategic projects and consists of three routes: east,middle,and west.The first phase of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project(East and Middle Routes)has been completed and put into use.The starting point of the Middle Route Project is at the Danjiangkou Reservoir in the upper and middle reaches of the Han River.The head of the mid-line project is located in Taocha Township,Xichuan County,Nanyang City,Henan Province.This article focuses on the environmental protection policies and ecological protection status of the Taocha Township water source section of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project.This paper first introduces the background of the section of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project of Xichuan country.The data is collected via field interviews of the Danjiang Reservoir Monitoring Station in Xichuan County,Nanyang City and the Xichuan County Environmental Protection Bureau.The data is combined with previous years of literature review to compare the water quality,economic and ecological conditions of the Danjiangkou Reservoir in Nanyang Xichuan County of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.This article also collected the Xichuan County Government's policy documents on environmental governance in the past five years.Through the analysis of the policy documents,the paper has compiled the Xichuan County Government's recent five years on infrastructure construction,treatment of inland rivers and black and odorous water bodies,drinking and groundwater resources.Policies and measures in governance,industrial construction,agricultural construction,ecological construction,etc.Through the data analysis,it obtains the water quality of the local reservoir area which researches the national Class II water quality standard in the past 6years.The oxygen content of water bodies is continuously increasing,and the detection value has risen from 7.72 mg/L in 2015 to 9.13 mg/L in 2020.The chemical oxygen demand of water bodies is continuously decreasing,and the detection value has dropped from 13.2mg/L in 2015 to 10mg/L in 2020.The amount of ammonia nitrogen in the water body is also gradually decreasing,from 0.076 in2015 to 0.051 in 2020.At the same time,the content of heavy metals in the water body is also very low.It provides the suggestions from ecological governance,agriculture,industry,supervision,and ecological compensation mechanisms,via comparing the local environmental policies and the changes in the water quality of the local reservoir area in recent years.In order to protect the diversity of the local ecosystem and improve the water quality,it is suggested that environmental protection measures should be continuously deepened and improved.
