| As an important academic achievement and assessment content,doctoral dissertation plays an indispensable role in analyzing,evaluating and predicting doctoral education and academic research in this field.However,at present,there are few domestic researches on doctoral dissertation in mathematics education,and there is a lack of international comparative research in this field.Based on this background,this study takes the doctoral dissertations of mathematics education at home and abroad as the research object,and makes statistical analysis and comparative study on the data of doctoral dissertations of mathematics education at home and abroad.Using Cite Space visualization technology,this study analyzes the research fields,hotspots,frontiers and trends of foreign doctoral dissertation,the hotspots,frontiers and trends of domestic doctoral dissertation and compares the similarities and differences between them.The results show that:In terms of doctoral dissertation in mathematics education abroad,the number of the data has experienced a slow decline,rapid development,stable development and fall.The regional sources of the data are mainly from the United States,Canada and the United Kingdom,and the distribution of the data is more uniform,mainly in distance education universities and top institutions of education.In the fields of research,the fields are not only involved in the education category,but also have a lot of cross research with psychology,sociology and computer science,and thus the research fields are open.In the research hotspot,the hotspots of data are the research on educational policy and reform,educational sociology,emerging research and cross field research under the development of science and technology.In the research frontier,foreign doctoral dissertation in mathematics education focus on the sociology perspective of curriculum,education policy and mathematics education.Further education and STEM education are the future trends.However,in terms of doctoral dissertations in mathematics education in China,the number of dissertations has experienced two times of growth,and the distribution of dissertations is relatively concentrated in normal universities.In terms of research hotspots,we focus on the research of teaching and textbooks,the cultivation of rational spirit,the professional development of teachers and the education of normal students,the evaluation of students’ learning ability,efficiency and development,HPM and mathematics education.In terms of research frontiers and trends,the future research trends in China are more inclined to HPM and traditional hot research,such as professional development,mathematics ability and current situation research.Through the comparison at home and abroad,we can see that the most prominent feature of foreign papers is that foreign education reform and policies have great influence on paper research and the research are very sensitive to educational equity and diversified sociology issues such as individual mathematical differences.Domestic papers focus on the research of HPM and historical perspective,and focus on the traditional research direction of mathematics education,such as teaching and learning theory and practice,teachers’ professional development and so on.Finally,combined with the research characteristics and the comparative analysis of doctoral dissertations of mathematics education at home and abroad,it is suggested that domestic doctoral dissertations should pay attention to the universality of research objects,expand the research perspective,pay attention to social differences,and refer more to the education reform and policy with the background of the times.In the aspect of doctoral cultivation,it is suggested to develop distance education and promote the exchange between excellent education institutions at home and abroad. |
