In recent years, rural areas have increasingly become the focus of national attention. The revitalization of villages around the country is in full swing.Among them, rural water supply planning is of great significance to ensure the basic needs of rural life. However, due to the limitation of planning tools in actual work, the traditional planning scheme cannot relate the planning contents to the actual environment in time during the planning process. The planning results are influenced by planners' experience and restricted by their understanding of the geographical environment.Based on this, combined with the practical experience of planning projects and the application of GIS spatial analysis function, this paper chooses GIS as a tool for water supply facility planning to carry out research. In this paper,Songtao County's rural areas are taken as the research area, and the planning target years are 2020 and 2030.According to the relevant water supply planning standards, the relevant functions of GIS are applied for planning and analysis. This paper focuses on the following aspects:(1)Analysis of traditional planning schemes and summary of problems. On the basis of summarizing the current situation of water supply and forecasting the water demand in the water supply planning of the study area, this paper applies the traditional planning method to divide the water supply model area and water plant planning analysis. After thinking and summarizing the planning process of the traditional scheme,it is found that the basis for dividing the water supply mode into districts in the planning process is relatively general and has certain limitations in considering the factors affecting the water plant planning. In order to make up for the deficiencies in the planning process,GIS is proposed to plan water supply facilities in Songtao County's rural areas.(2)GIS is applied to water plant planning.Firstly, the spatial analysis model related to GIS is elaborated.Secondly, according to relevant specifications, six factors affecting the water plant site selection are selected, and their weight values are calculated by improved hierarchical analysis. The suitability evaluation results of each single element are obtained in GIS,and the comprehensive evaluation results of water plant site selection are obtained by superposition analysis and environmental restriction analysis. On the basis of comprehensive consideration of the comprehensive evaluation results of the study area, village topography, village spatial layout and other factors, the water plant construction plan is carried out,and the water plant is tentatively scheduled to serve the village. Finally, the polygon of Tai Sen built by the planned water plant optimizes and adjusts the villages served by the water plant, and obtains the planning results with reasonable site selection and design of the water plant and evidence-based water supply scope.(3)GIS is applied to water supply network planning. In this paper,1 factory and 4villages selected in the research area are taken as the research objects to analyze the water supply network planning.Firstly, the spatial analysis model applied in pipe network planning is elaborated.Secondly, the advantages of GIS in pipe network planning are verified through the evaluation of pipe network planning scheme, and the optimization and adjustment of pipe network are realized by applying the three-dimensional display function of GIS according to relevant specifications. Finally,Kriging interpolation method is applied in GIS to improve DEM data in the study area,to extract accurate elevation values at pipe section nodes, and to effectively calculate accurate leakage water volume and total leakage water volume at pipe section nodes in combination with China point leakage model. The conclusion proves that the application of GIS in water supply facility planning is of great practical significance in realizing the quantitative analysis of planning elements, improving the scientificalness of planning process, and ensuring the implementability of planning results.
