The northwest silk road is an exchange road of material civilization between east and west,as well as the transmission and exchange of spiritual civilization between China and west.Jin to Ming during this period,there are many monks,officials to take the bull by the horns,along the silk road to the western regions,will be on the way the stories they,after returning from the one about plants,for research and development of the plant species,plant propagation,the change of the environment and plant exchange of cultural communication,it is of great significance.Through the study of plants in the western regions,it provides some reference and experience for the current environmental management.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the reason,significance,research status,academic background and research significance of the topic.The second part sorts out the plant species in the northwest silk road,and focuses on the plants with high frequency.Based on the characteristics of plants recorded in the northwest silk road journey,this paper analyzes the perspective of monks and officials,the individual differences of monks and the longitudinal differences of time.The third part explores the writing intention and subjective will of the narrator.The fourth part analyzes the deep meaning of plants from three aspects: ecology,ideology,culture and historical materials.In the last part,the author summarizes the value of the plant records in the northwest silk road and its influence on Chinese culture.
