Along with the rapid expansion of urban construction land in northwest, extendingtoward mountain is due to solve the severe problem between human and land, thus itbecoming the northwest urban development direction. However, the road planning anddesign of current northwest mountainous city are lack of rational planning technology inline with the regional characteristic, road planning stillmechanically apples to thetraditional urban planning techniques, construction of the urban road networkphenomenon occurs“Constructive destruction” and “Destructive Construction“whichcaused urban ecological crisis and the natural geological disasters.This research takes the northwest mountainous city road planning as researchobject, takes the city road network of regulatory detailed planningas the focus, throughthe updating and optimization of geographic information system (GIS) technology oftraditional mountainous city road planning,attempts to forma set of technical route fornorthwest mountainous city road optimization design based on GIS technology, andtriesto apply to road optimized design of “Yue Long Peng Yang district regulatorydetailed planning”.Paper first to review and summarize mountainous city road planningrelated research at home and abroad, put forward limitation of current domesticmountainous city road planning in the face of the northwest unique nature, social andeconomic conditions, at the same time, analysis that researching about thecharacteristics of mountainous city road planning provides a theoretical support forbuilding northwest characteristics mountainous city road optimization design.Secondly,on the basis of analyzing the characteristic of the mountainous city road traffic system,introduces the geographic information system (GIS) technology into road evaluation and design of mountain city road, uses the advantage of the GIS technology in basicdata sorting and spatial analysis, analyses factors that affects the mountainous city roadlayout comprehensively. Through factor analysismethod and establishing cost model,builds a set of suitable design method for the northwest mountain city featuresandmakes sure it is able to cover urban road optimization design from macro level tomicro level, so that improves the scientific and practical of mountainous city roadplanning.Through the analysis and research of GIS technology, introducesit into the urbanroad planning and design to build a set of technical route that adapt to the northwesternmountainous city road network optimization design, improves the efficiency of urbanroad planning and the scientific and rationality of planning scheme, provides thebeneficial reference for domestic northwest mountainous city road optimization project.
