The main research direction of this paper is the fishery economic industries such as aquaculture and fishing industry, aquatic product processing industry and fishery circulation industry in Guangdong Province. As a strong economic province in my country,Guangdong Province is the first batch of economic development provinces. It owns seawater resources and has a relatively broad market. However, the fishery economy is "large" but not "strong".It is helpful to explore the law of the development of Guangdong’s fishery industry and promote its high-quality development. On the basis of previous studies, this study uses the DEA-Global Malmquist index and uses the top eight provinces in fishery economic output value as a reference to calculate Guangdong’ s fishery economic TFP(Total Factor Productivity, referred to as "TFP")and Its technological progress, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. The results of the study show that,as a whole, the total factor productivity of the three industries in Guangdong’s fishery economy has declined to varying degrees from 2006 to 2017.The results show that the growth of the fishery economy is mainly maintained by the growth of factor inputs. However, taking 2012 as the demarcation point, the fishing and aquaculture and aquatic processing industries, which are the representatives of the first and second industries of the fishery economy, have improved in terms of total factor productivity, while the tertiary industry has been in a stable and slightly declining state. The primary industry benefits from technological progress, and the secondary industry benefits from technological progress and improvements in scale efficiency.Compared with other provinces, the total factor productivity of Guangdong’s fishery economy has advantages in the tertiary industry. The primary industry is slightly inferior to other provinces, and the secondary industry is behind the eight provinces.Based on the above analysis, this article puts forward relevant policy recommendations for the development of fishery and aquatic processing industry in Guangdong Province.
