Study On The Scale And Economic Effects Of Digital Infrastructure In Various Regions Of China

The rapid development of digital technology has brought unprecedented prosperity to the generation and expression,processing and dissemination of information,great changes in social life style,industrial structure and economic development,remodeling the living environment of human beings and opening up the digital ecology.Among them,the economic field as a basic component of society,the attention and the impact of digital technology are the most prominent,in recent years,digital technology brought about by the economic growth in the total economic growth of each country accounted for year by year,digital economy has become the most active field of economic development.As the key support of digital technology and one of the basic components of digital ecology,it is of great significance to study it to develop the digital economy and construct the digital ecology.With regard to the study of digital infrastructure,early scholars generally used infrastructure indicators such as networks and information,which are now difficult to adapt to advanced digital infrastructure,but have not yet formed a unified standard and measurement method for the scope and scale of the new generation of digital infrastructure.In quantitative research,there is a lack of provincial-level studies that can fully reflect the development level and distribution characteristics of China's digital infrastructure.In this regard,based on the existing research,this paper summarizes the main indicators and measurement methods that can represent the scale of digital infrastructure,and measures the scale of digital infrastructure in various provinces and cities of our country,the main questions of the study are: what level of digital infrastructure in our provinces and cities? What economic effects will the scale of digital infrastructure have on each region?Through the combing and integration of relevant research,this paper selects the main indicators that can represent the digital infrastructure from the three aspects of cloud service,network and digital terminal,and uses the method of determining the weight of the indicators in the same literature,and uses the objective entropy method to calculate the weight of the main indicators.On the basis of the calculated weighting,this paper takes 31 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions of China as a sample,measures China's digital infrastructure scale index in 2016 and 2017 by region,so as to analyze the current level of digital infrastructure construction in China as a whole and by region.The differences between the scale of digital infrastructure and the analysis of influencing factors are explained and analyzed.Then,using the calculated digital infrastructure scale index for 2016 and 2017,the effect of digital infrastructure scale on regional economic growth is empirically tested,and the intermediary effect of information services industry in the economic impact process is explored,and the following main conclusions are obtained:Firstly,Although the overall level of digital infrastructure in China improved significantly between 2016 and 2017,it is still low,and the level of development in various regions is not balanced,showing the pattern of the highest,second and lowest in the east,with obvious spatial aggregation characteristics and "olive" structure characteristics.Secondly,household disposable income,industrial structure and fixed asset investment are important factors of difference in the scale of digital infrastructure.The analysis of China into three regions,East,Central and West,shows that the level of disposable income of residents in the three regions coincides with the distribution pattern of digital infrastructure scale,and the two have a clear positive correlation;The development difference of the regional digital infrastructure has some influence,the total investment of the digital infrastructure industry in the eastern region is significantly higher than that of the central and western regions,and the overall decline trend is in the east,middle and west,but the growth rate of the total investment indicates that the difference in the scale of the digital infrastructure in the three land regions has a tendency to decrease.Finally,the scale of digital infrastructure has contributed significantly to the level of digital services,digital manufacturing and economic growth,and empirical results confirm the positive effects of digital infrastructure in digital services,digital manufacturing and economic growth levels.In addition,digital services have a significant intermediation effect in the process of digital infrastructure acting on the level of economic growth,and according to the results of the gradual regression law,part of the effect of digital infrastructure on the level of economic growth is achieved by promoting the development of digital services,i.e.,digital infrastructure can be promoted by promoting the development of digital services.This will further increase the level of economic growth.And this result passed the significance test.
