Comparative Analysis Of The Foreign Trade Development Level Of Regions In Shandong Province

Since the reform and opening up,Shandong province's foreign trade has developed rapidly.In 1984,Shandong's total foreign trade was only 3.52 billion dollars,but in 2017 it rose to 263.057 billion dollars,an increase of nearly 74 times.In 2017,the export volume was 147.102 billion dollars,up 7.2 percent over 2016,while the import volume was115.955 billion dollars,up 19.5 percent year-on-year.This shows that the volume and scale of Shandong's foreign trade increase rapidly.At the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC),it was clearly stated that "China's economy is shifting from a stage of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development".Shandong's foreign trade ranks 6th in China,and it is a major province of foreign trade in China.How to promote Shandong's foreign trade from quantity type to high quality development is very important.To promote the high-quality development of Shandong's foreign trade,we must first understand the development level of Shandong's foreign trade.In view of this,this paper evaluates the development level of foreign trade in each region in recent years.This paper is divided into five parts: The first part mainly introduces the research background and significance of the paper,the domestic and foreign related research review,the structure and research methods of the paper,the innovation and shortcomings of the paper;The second part mainly expounds the relevant foreign trade theories and defines the connotation of the development level of foreign trade;The third part mainly analyzes the development level of foreign trade in Shandong and other cities from the perspective of the scale,structure,investment and sustainable development of foreign trade,and provides a practical basis for the comprehensive evaluation of the development level of foreign trade in the following regions and cities;The fourth part is to establish the comprehensive index evaluation system of foreign trade development level and determine the use of principal component analysis for empirical research;The fifth part is to use the principal component analysis to carry on the empirical analysis to each region index data,obtains the result and carries on the standard analysis;The sixth part is based on the previous research results,get the research conclusion,and put forward countermeasures and Suggestions.Empirical studies show that from the horizontal,foreign trade development level thereis a big gap between the cities,Yantai,Weihai,Qingdao,Weifang has a higher level of foreign trade development,Zaozhuang,Jining,Zibo,Linyi,Dezhou,Jinan,Dongying,Heze's level is moderate,and Rizhao,Laiwu,Liaocheng,Taian,Binzhou has a relatively low level.From longitudinal,in 2008 and 2012,the vast majority of the development of foreign trade showed a sharp decline,since 2012,from city to city,change of the level is different,Yantai,Weihai,Qingdao,Weifang's foreign trade development is relatively stable,maintain at a high level,Rizhao,Laiwu,Jinan,Zibo,Taian,Dezhou,Liaocheng,Zaozhuang,Linyi's level rising trend to a certain extent,and Dongying,Binzhou,Jining,Heze declined obviously.By region,the development level of foreign trade in eastern Shandong is the highest,followed by that in southwest Shandong,and the lowest in central Shandong and northwest Shandong.In recent years,the development level of foreign trade in eastern Shandong and central Shandong shows an obvious growth trend,while the level of foreign trade in northwest Shandong and southwest Shandong grows slowly.In addition,the evaluation value of the first-level indicators shows that the impact of the evaluation value of each indicator on the comprehensive evaluation value of foreign trade development level is different.The indexes of foreign trade quality,scale and structure have a larger influence weight,while the indexes of foreign trade openness have a much smaller influence weight on the comprehensive evaluation of foreign trade development level.The secondary indicators make it possible for us to clearly find the specific indicators that affect the level of a city's foreign trade,as well as the specific differences between different cities.Under the current background of promoting high-quality development of foreign trade,each city should face up to its own weak indicators of foreign trade,focus on improving the weaknesses,and improve the overall level of foreign trade.
